I am 62 yrs old. I was raised by two parents who were very much interested in finding a philosophy. They started reading Rand, Haslit, Von Misses, Locke etc in the early 1950's and subscribed to Rand's "Objectivist Newsletter" for years. I read AS in high school. My senior paper was titled The philosophy of Objectivism as Exemplified by the book Atlas Shrugged. It didn't go over well in the 1970's public education system...I think I would be burned at the stake today. My father was a tremedous positive influence in my education and hands down my best friend. I am so glad I found like thinking people here in the Gulch.
