    Everybody just plays the finale.
The full William Tell Overture by Gioachino Rossini is 12½ minutes long and includes 3 other evocative parts often used in films or cartoons.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2YW5...
The opening evokes a sad / crying mood. Then what sounds like rain starting and building into a ship being tossed at sea by a violent storm. Then the gentle sunrise/morning mood. And finally Hi-Oh Silver. Rossini had some different images in mind.

While I'm at it, there are two other well known sunrises/mornings.
The opening of Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 by Edvard Grieg.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vj7vH...
The rest is interesting, too,. A sad death, a country dance, and the energetic finale, In the Hall of the Mountain King starting at about 13:00 in the link above. But listen to the whole thing.

For the grandest sunrise, the opening of Also Sprach Zarathustra by Richard Strauss.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3Hvg...
The full piece is a little more than a half-hour long.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfwAP...
It's a tone poem of varying moods, some quiet, some exuberant. It's hard to sustain the greatness of the opening.

    Me dino's favorite went POOF!
Next one after that reminded old dino of women during the Fifties and the early Sixties.
During the late Sixties things began to gradually change, though I had no problem with miniskirts.

Thanks for the post, SW. Who said the "useful idiots" of the Bolsheviks are "Intelligent"? Observe the output of the various public school systems.

I suspect an assassination of Trump at this point would be cataclysmic. I hope he is well protected earthly and by providence.

I don't recall the exact numbers but in the 2020 election Biden supposedly got 84 million votes (the most of any candidate in history) and Trump got 72 million votes all from an electorate of 133 million possible voters. Think a little fraud may have been afoot? This did not repeat this time around. I can only imagine a number of reasons why.

I'm not sure what Grave's Disease is. But I seemed even as a child to have all my faculties.

It did though, always surprise me when I ended up in the principal's office!

    +1, term.

I think nowadays what you are referring to is called 'crony capitalism'. I think it stems when the one, believing it will be taken down, tries to control the other.

I have two observations on your comment. One is that should anything happen to Trump, or if he is mistreated in any way, I doubt the majority of Americans will put up with it. And an intelligent minority would understand that.

And two, riots have already started I understand, but correct me if I'm wrong. If that is true, to me that is evidence, not proof exactly, but evidence that the 2020 election was fraudulent. Because if they are rioting now, when America's right thinking citizens have voted fairly and honestly, it could be they rigged the election in 2020, believing that Trump would win.

Had to +1 you here, FFA. Trump and the GOP have now been given a huge chance to get it right, now let's see if they do what is expected. I suppose if they fail us it still could have been worse. First, Trump needs to break away the GOP wing of the uniparty and get it flying in the correct direction on it's own.

I try to remain optimistic that this is the beginning of what Q labels "The Great Awakening". The whole nation (world) has been SHOWN evil in the face. "They" will not go away quietly so there will be a lot of proverbial storms to weather coming up.

Mattered not the hi highs or the low lows of graves disease, trouble followed me everywhere.
I fought for control over it (no one knew in those days) but getting a speeding ticket was always on the menu!

So do I. And the Left especially African Americans made such a big deal of his Alzheimers', putting him down whenever they could. He was known as "Good Time Charlie" and they had to ridicule that.

He said 'dadgum' did you notice? My family, mother's side, would say that, and words like 'shoot', hoping us kids would never find out what they stood for.

But they made fun of Glen Campbell, from Delight, Arkansas.

It was enjoyable. It was fairly sentimental, but without the sleaze modern movies seem to have an overdose of.

And I agree: Hanks plays a great drunk and a great whatever Forrest Gump was.

I'm sure the DS Bolsheviks have NOT given up. Time for a Jack on the rocks and a BIG bucket of popcorn to observe the litany of dirty tricks the priests of the left probably have coming up. The attack hyenas of the MSMM are already getting warmed up. A Marxist congress critter is already exploring the possibility of preventing Trumps inauguration on grounds he's an "insurrectionist". Trump will need super protection from now on. If he gets past 1/20/2025 it's going to be a rough ride to get through to 2028.

Nice collection here, OUC! Some verrrrrrry nice, LOL! I'll pick #5 from the end as a favorite because I'm an old fan of grace and elegance as opposed to some of the cartoons walking around today. The last two are priceless, LOL! I'll not see Ben Shapiro as the same again...

When going through medic training in at Fort Sam Houston in 1968, my Aunt and Uncle gave me tickets to see Campbell in concert at HemisFair in downtown San Antonio. Somehow shortly before the show, the neck of Campbell's guitar was broken. He glued it together (I presume) and held it in place with a large C clamp. With the C clamp on the instrument, he performed flawlessly, providing one of the most amazing musical performances I had ever seen before or have seen since. I learned later that he had been one of the most requested guitar players for many years in the recording industry prior to his very successful career as a singer-songwriter. At the concert he also played the banjo, and years later he would occasionally play the bagpipes during his concerts. One of America's most amazing musicians, I miss him and his music.

"Well let's see what he will do"
If she means what she says, and will judge without bias on results ...
    that describes my current approach.
I'm delighted that sKamala lost, but the GOP has not been pro-freedom in the past 60 years either.
    Let's see what happens.

Suggestion please...have a friend we talk about everything but politics. Known her for years the difference in our skin color never effected out friendship, but, when expressing through a picture from Townhall my delight. Her response was only "Well let's see what he will do". Guessing she did not vote for intelligence in a new administration. Oh, and she invited me to Thanksgiving dinner feels awkward now :/

I hear that piece every morning. I turn on the OTR (Old Time Radio) radio.macinmind.com and it's usually Gunsmoke or The Lone Ranger on.

When Rossini debuted the overture, I think there was a riot, it was so radical for the times....

Trump can fix immigration, the ukraine war, and probably the middle east situation. I dont expect much relative to china, given that all the alternatives like not buying from china, fighting them in taiwan, etc. arent good.
