- 801Oh, 2012. I quit watching Hollywood made movies (and all movies are Hollywood in America) in about 1990 or earlier.
And I don't watch anything Tom Hanks was in after Saving Private Ryan, and finding out his hard Leftist sympathies.
The last movie I saw and I think it was produced by Billie Bob Thornton, was "The Gift". This was a great movie, though still apologetic for the South in some ways.
I may, tomorrow or sometime, submit a topic titled "Hill Billy Legacy", with references to my own roots and legacies. The one half of me that is from the South. The other half is immigrant Italian, second generation. Weird. - 802Posted by freedomforall 2 weeks, 3 days ago to The People versus The Blob2012
From wiki - "The story jumps between eras, spanning hundreds of years, until each storyline eventually resolves. Writings from characters in prior storylines are found in future storylines. Characters appear to recur in each era, but change relationships to each other, suggesting reincarnation or other connection between souls through the ages." - 803Thanks, IQ.
- 804Posted by Eyecu2 2 weeks, 3 days ago to Hi-Oh Silver Away!I LOVED the Lone Ranger as a kid and I always greatly enjoyed Glen Campbell's music. I had not heard this one before. THANK YOU! I very much enjoyed that. That was very impressive.
- 805Government has responsibility for vaccines. They asked for it.
- 806Number 8 must be fake news. Er...is that fake boobs?
The woke call number 10 'fat shaming'. So guess we'll never see that again. - 807Exactly. Must be why Trump and Musk are unappealing: both actually create work for them to do.
- 808Never even heard of it. When was it released?

Thanks, OUC! - 811Posted by freedomforall 2 weeks, 4 days ago to My Gawd, Trump did it!đź‘Ť Start with a ban on advertising for Big Pharma and lawyers.
That will hit their profits and punish media companies for their censorship and intentional misinformation.
Then repeal Pharma's protection against lawsuits for damages from vaccines. - 812Posted by freedomforall 2 weeks, 4 days ago to This isn’t over yet…Indeed. sKamala as acting VP has the duty to certify the election results.
- 813Posted by Steven-Wells 2 weeks, 4 days ago to Hi-Oh Silver Away! The Lefties lose the "Me need job" part because that requires doing work.
- 814Posted by freedomforall 2 weeks, 4 days ago to The People versus The BlobHave you seen Cloud Atlas ?
Hanks plays 6 different characters (as do Halle Berry, Bae Doona, Hugo Weaving, Hugh
Grant and Susan Sarandon) across nearly 500 years of history and technology as the plot evolves. - 815I googled it, hope you don't mind, and saw that it was connected to thyroid hormone production, and that much is STILL not known.
There just doesn't seem to be much scholarship in modern scholarship. They were able to determine the human genome, WITH THE HELP OF A MACHINE, but they still don't understand the various codes! - 816Conceding and certifying are separate acts. I did some research after posting my comment, and most of what I found indicates that the job of the Senate President (aka, the VP) to certify is largely ceremonial. If the VP can't do it, then the ranking Senator from the majority party does the job.
- 817The sigh of the Lefties: me plenty poor!!
- 818The story of William Tell is the most interesting. This overture supposedly is for a march, which leaves me breathless!
Peer Gynt puts me to sleep, except The Hall, which always reminds me of the Ride of the Valkyries, or Night on Bald Mountain.
And of course, as every right-thinking American does, I always see the monkeys with their bones warring on each other when I hear Thus Sprach Zarathustra. Nowadays though, I think of Elon Musk too, because after I saw 2001 in 1964, I was sure I would be sailing to the moon, even if I had to use my walker!! - 819Guess that's why they are called idiots. And being idiots, they are useful. I wonder what the opposite of useful idiot is. I suppose someone can be an idiot, but not useful. But I don't think being useful always implies one is an idiot!
Well, enough of that.
What we should be wondering at, is this: Did the useful idiots continue to believe the 2020 election was fair, because 1) they actually believed it was fair? Or 2) they just pretended to believe it was fair, thinking they were putting one over on the righteous thinkers?
Just how useful were these idiots? And to what purpose? - 820EXTREME HYPERACTIVE to Depression.
Depression was easy for me to get out of but the hyperactivity always got me in trouble, my mind could not keep control over my hyper brain and body.
Allopaths ended up nuking my thyroid. During Thyroid storm it was so large that 90% of my blood went through the thyroid, It didn't help having a high but extremely bored IQ either. LOL as if IQ could be bored! but you get the point. - 821Me dino heard Hannity say that on my car radio just this afternoon. Very, very revealing!!!
- 822Posted by Steven-Wells 2 weeks, 4 days ago to Hi-Oh Silver Away! They didn't make them like that when they were new. Their birth names were, respectively Jack Carlton Moore and Harold J. Smith. That's not what you expected. But they were great!
From one of the episodes (I don't know which) Tonto was infiltrating a gang of bad guys and claimed to need a job with them. That gave rise to one of my favorite lines:
"Me need job. Me plenty poor." - 823Posted by fairbro 2 weeks, 4 days ago to Me Dino Learned Trump Won! Trump Won!Why does everybody call then "Communists"? I would liken them to libertine revelers around the "Golden (calf) Aborted Fetus." They have no manifesto, (unless it is LGBTQ+ and transgenderism. Rather they are disorganized - it's a case of "every man/women for themselves, grab as much loot and power for me and my family and friends as I can." Nihilists and materialists, they are.
- 824Amen...
- 825Love it. Back before I was a dad I was in a rock band and Hamer guitars were my #1 choice. Fantastic instruments!
