When are we going to know if our 'I Am John Galt' videos are going to be included on the Atlas Shrugged Part II DVD?

    Hey Fred, I hope you got the video in by the October 29th deadline. Please tell me you did.

      I got it uploaded on October 31st. That was the soonest I could get my hands on a movie poster and have someone videotape me.
      Please don't tell me it won't be included.

        Yep, it looks like you missed it Fred. The deadline was actually the 29th. :(

        The edit was done a week ago and has already been submitted so we'll have to try and get you on the next one.

          It was a pretty short deadline to give people.
          Since the DVD isn't coming out until Spring, why such a short deadline?

            It's a long process to get a DVD ready for retail. The deadline for the DVD extras being submitted was only a week after the deadline for the "I am John Galt" submissions. They all had to be compiled and edited before submitting so it was a pretty tight timeline.

          A week ago? And they didn't take my video off of YouTube? It's been nearly a week and a half.

            Sorry Fred. It looks like we're going to have to wait for Part III - which actually shouldn't be that far off in the future. :)

              I'd still like to know why you chose such a short deadline. I went to expense making that clip for this.

                I understand your disappointment Fred. I just checked and yes, you did in fact submit your video as a "video response." Unfortunately, you submitted the video on Oct. 31st - the original video ( http://youtu.be/Ueu_dXb1DvY?hd=1 ) very clearly states a deadline of 12:00 AM October 29th.

                  I got my AS II DVD yesterday.
                  The fan compilation was only a few minutes and they were all stills.
                  Don't you think such a short deadline caused this?
                  You need to set a bigger window for AS III.

                  It took me that long to get one of the Atlas Shrugged Part II posters that had to be in the video. As soon as I got it, I arranged for a friend with a good video camera to make the video.
                  You need to be giving a reasonable amount of time.
                  This was not reasonable for people with full schedules much less for someone who had trouble getting a copy of the movie poster.
