NY high school orders student to remove Smith and Wesson t-shirt, but it doesn't end there...

Well, I like the way this kid thinks. He was prepared to have to remove his shirt, by thoughtfully wearing a second t-shirt under the offending S&W one. Zing! Note it's only been teachers and admins who get their knickers in a twist over this.
And aren't we taxpayers affording the schools their operating budget? How is this an agreeable use of my money?

It's funny they close their perverted eyes when some boy thinks he should be able to share the little girls restroom with the opposite gender, but they have their x-ray eyes burning holes in a child that wares a tee-shirt of a manufacturer that provides jobs no matter what the product is. Smith and Wesson has paid more in taxes than the whole Administration of that school. Good grief get a life administrators or quit. Go to Chicago and become a community organizer.

1 day in school suspension is definitely worth it.

Why should he have been punished at all? 1st amendment violation.

If the second amendment is the first allowed to be overturned, the first will be second, and the third, fourth and fifth not far behind... of course the 6th and 8th no longer exists, at least on extraterritorial military posts... and the ninth, well, our congresscritters decided they know better than we the people, so it's silently ignored...

But some feel it's all good, as it forwards the cause of Security and Social Justice for the oppressed and disadvantaged, over those who have more than those who do not. After all, who are these better-off to have more than those who... urp... are kept back from... blrbl.. their fair share by the oppressor... pardon me, I must excuse myself...

(Just writing that last paragraph has caused my stomach to righteously and forcefully revolt against its contents...)

If he were an angry loner goth on Prozac the teachers would have probably avoided eye contact with him. Ironic, huh?

An excellent point. The sort of "authorities" who glorify in this sort of activity (as well as grandstanding about it), tend to pick on those who will "go quietly". By no means is this limited to school personnel. Those who appear as if they "might be trouble" generally escape official notice unless and until they do something extreme
