I was going to add this on but do not want to divert from Abaco's important theme.
Here is my little story.


I seldom fly nowadays but drive a lot while listening to talking books. Just finished a Lee Child story on hero Reacher, Without Fail. The story starts with a section head of the Secret Service urgently needing to find Reacher. She has unique access to data bases, fed, state, all.
But Reacher has not worked for years so has no tax file, no soc sec file, no police record, not even a driving lic. Aha! He has a bank account- it shows his home address as the Pentagon, dead end.
Then a phone call comes in to say that Reacher has just booked a withdrawal going to a Western Union office, close by. She rushes to the location, and sees her man.
She says, "Jack Reacher?". Answer, "Yes". she says, "I'm from.. ".
He interrupts, 'The Secret Service, only outfit that could trace me via a bank account!".
All very realistic.

However, reality, as we learned last week, is different.
US fed government employment records are all on paper kept down a disused limestone mine. The flow of information is limited by the capacity of the lift shaft that conveys papers up and down.
(The mine in Pennsylvania is called Iron Mountain. A story in itself.)

I am finding it hard to type, my eyes are watering so much from laughing.
