Should he be judged by his father's actions...or inactions? I don't think he would be a good VP candidate, but it has nothing to do with what his father did or did not do.

India will revoke your citizenship if you become a citizen of another country. They probably didn't want to burn bridges.

I wouldn't g to that shithole on a free first class ticket. Who wants to go back to India and/or wants to remain a citizen of 2B people splitting 18 beans of welfare?

Plan B is better than no plan B. Everyone should have the ability to bail on a moment's notice and go someplace else less hostile if things turn ugly where they are.

The statist in various countries make it rather difficult for outsiders to get into theirs, as evidenced by people on this website, such as the poster of this topic. People have been brainwashed to imagine silly things such as borders and imaginary group ownership of huge pieces of Earth. I know saying that may offend some of you but that is the truth. No one can reasonably lay claim on anything other than the product of their labor.

By the way, my perspective is that countries are just groups of people of common culture/language taken over by the biggest local mafia organization (the state) that basically uses them as slaves. The shitholeness of a country depends greatly on the actions of its state.

No argument, and I'm not defending the idea that a dual passport person should be ostracized, just that India is a shit hole. I really do not understand why they can not get their act together. There are smart people there.

The Power Index of their language is partly to blame (Outliers, Gladwell).

One of their issues is that it's okay to say "I can do it" when you cannot do it, and you cannot even DEFINE "it". In the IT world, I learned first hand to keep those teams on a short leash, or simply don't utilize them.

They were willing to be off by 10% or more, through the entire project without checking in. Because it is BETTER to not get the feedback they are wrong. Even early.

I am hoping it will change.

Then you can NEVER underestimate the damage that the "Empires" did, to ensure all regions had conflicts to avoid them unifying (like putting Kurds, Shiite and Sunnis all in the same country, so the infighting would prevent them from proper growth/function).

And a CASTE system is bad. Not sure how removed that is at this point. Bad ideas die slowly in uneducated people.

FWIW, they graduate more High School kids in the gifted program ANNUALLY than we have high school students. (But this has been true for a long time, and still has not come to fruition).

Bonus points because they used IVM during CVID. And their PM Modi supported Trump.
Even when the world said that was not "polite"

            My simple explanation: predation.

The state is a predator, so are people who consume more than they produce.

Everyone steals from each other, rapes and pillages until there is nothing left. It is simple math.

Most of the world has high predation. You will notice that countries with low predation tend to be richer, and for obvious reasons.

United States has been historically wealthier not because of freedom directly as some may claim, but because more freedom equals less slavery, less slavery equals less predation, less predation equals more stuff is getting produced and less stuff is getting destroyed. Hence, society's wealth is increasing. However, predation in United States has been going up (on the scale of 100 years or so). It is getting really bad now. So, my prediction is that once all the built up wealth is consumed and destroyed and no more wealth can be stolen from other countries, United States will become another shithole like India.

Based on some limited experience, many smart people who have always had to deal with moronic government regulation.
As a result the business culture often assumes (when dealing with foreign business at least) that they do not need to deal
in good faith. So very little gets done efficiently even when it would be beneficial to all parties.

The last step in becoming a naturalized citizen is swearing the oath of allegiance, which contains some questionable items:

"A. Bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; or
    B. Perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; or
    C. Perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law."

So like what, they will make a law that I must work for some random ass company for free and I am expected to do it?

If a law requires a person to do something against their will then that is slavery. I would say it is not fair to ask a foreign born person seeking citizenship to pledge to be a slave, especially considering the fact that US-born citizens are not required to pledge the same.

Anyone please do correct me if I am wrong.

I liked Vivek Ramaswamy basically as soon as he threw his hat in the ring, though not as much as Trump. In spite of his parentage, he shows a backbone that is more pro American (that is, supportive of the basic principles defining the USA) than the Neo Communists (Democrats) running DC and other large swaths of the country right now. Some of those families have been here for generations and should know better, but they don't.

If he was born in the USA to non citizen parents, I guess that makes him an "anchor baby"? Tough decision for Trump to pick a running mate. Maybe tradition should be broken and let the GOP put up a list and let the people (Republicans) decide who they want for VP.

Who ever Trump selects as a running mate is who I back. I believe Ben Carson would be a great choice for many reasons. He would be an excellent contrast to the boss. What Vivek said before: "We should aim to safely vaccinate everyone who is eligible," wrote Vivek in a Twitter-now called X.
Ramaswamy critiqued the last days of Trump's presidency in his 2022 book "Nation of Victims," writing that Trump gave Americans "just another tale of grievance, a persecution complex that swallowed much of the Republican party whole."

January 12, 2021, a week after the capitol attack, Ramaswamy said "What Trump did last week was wrong. Downright abhorrent. Plain and simple. I’ve said it before and did so in my piece. In his book, Ramaswamy also called Jan. 6 a "dark day for democracy."
Ramaswamy said "I would not reinstate a ban on transgender members," of the U.S military, repeating "I would not," when asked a second time.
I personally saw Vivek mimicking MAGA talking points during his debates . Those comments above are not MAGA I will let Trump determine if Vivek has principals.

Thanks for the education! This is why I come to the Gulch! Ramaswamy looked a lot like a MAGA supporter based on the speeches and interviews I've seen/heard him in. This is something new. I did not read his book. I like the Ben Carson pick as well, but he's not on the list.

We are at war ! The enemy will and is doing anything and everything to get rid of Trump. Fake Lawfare , fake stories even fake MAGA supporters . Why? Because he is their biggest threat to end this criminal enterprise masquerading as a govt of by and for the people.
He very clearly stated that he caught them all. The enemy is vast worldwide and they clearly are in a panic. Ukraine Israel Gaza Taiwan no one wants to fund these death blossoms anymore .Putin and Xi flipping the Central bank the bird. Sovereign vs Globalists. . The RNC is being remodeled thank God! Saudi Arabia cleaned house….that was a very critical blow getting rid of Prince AlWaleed. And replacing him with Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.
Here is a terrific article on the topic. https://badlands.substack.com/p/trump...

Excerpt:…… How big of a chess piece is Alwaleed in this game of war?

Most people have no idea how much this one man controlled and how he got so powerful. This one man was the biggest threat Trump faced the day he was sworn in. After I reveal who and what Alwaleed controlled, you will understand why he was considered the King, and why it was so important to remove him from the chessboard first.

Did you know our Special Forces helped arrest him?

Q made several interesting posts on the same day of the arrests that reveal our own military’s involvement in helping take down this puppet master. This was all part of the plan and coordinated by Trump.

The Badlands link is a very good read on the subject and the follow up article may be even more. There's so much going on one would think Trump was well acquainted with this tactic before he even came down the escalator. No wonder his victory over Hitlery was such a shock to the bad guys. And it ain't over...

That is a silly reason to not vote for Trump, and essentially hands Biden a 1/2 vote. That kind of spiteful crap is completely backward. Don't be an idiot.

Separately Trump should NOT pick Vivek as VP (he should place him in a senior role later), because Vivick will attract zero votes from those in the middle who are undecided.

    Jesus Christ.

If Ramaswamy was eligible to campaign for President, he's eligible to serve as Vice-President.

My own personal thought is that Donald Trump should pick a VP that polled the closest to him, since that person will be our "backup" Prez.

NO, Trump needs to pick a VP running mate to pull some more people from the middle. Vivik is awesome. Give him a senior role after elected, like Defense, State, Energy, etc.

The Constitution was written to protect us against too much foreign interference. I'm tired of foreigners getting elected to run this country. If your own father won't become a citizen...go back where you came from.

Manchurian Candidate? He looked really good. Keep ignoring our Constitution. I'm don't care.
Seek out the difference between Native Born and Natural Born. And our children usually follow their elders to some extent.

For anyone interested here's what I found to help with this matter:

        https://constitutioncenter.org/the-co...

It looks like if a person is physically born here, then that person can be president or vice president when old enough.

A law devised when the population was 30 million and only 30% of the country had been settled,
(and partially devised to punish people in the south for wanting to be free of tyranny by the fedgov.)
It rewarded people for agreeing with the administration and punished those who disagreed.
          Sound familiar?

Interesting factoid: The town of Town Line, NY seceded from the Union in 1861 and did not return until 1946. Since a good friend of mine was born in Town Line in 1937 she considers herself an official Confederate lady born in the last "stronghold" of the Confederate States. Here's an amusing article on the subject (I imagine one of those FD patches would be a collectors item):

I wish you were as tough on foreign born idiots setting policy for our nation 50 years ago when the Prussian Henry Kissmyassinger was installed or the Prussian Zbigniew Brzezinski. Total Asswangs.

Ramaswamy is a born US citizen, a successful businessman, and is pretty conservative. I took the time to read his book "A Nation of Victims," and he seems to have a good understanding of what's gone wrong, and what needs to be done to correct it. Not the one I would suggest, but certainly better than Nikki Haley, or several others that have been suggested.

My choice would be Tulsi Gabbard, as being a converted former Democrat and an eloquent speaker, she's very good at responding to progressive nonsense with intelligent alternatives. She's experienced at ripping Kamala Harris to pieces on stage, as she single-handedly destroyed Harris's primary run for president during one debate performance. She also shares much of Trump's view on foreign policy and closing the border. Having a military background is something she shares only with Dan Crenshaw, who's another possible VP candidate.

After reading that comment, it makes me wonder if you realize life is about the big picture. Everything we deal with is NOT custom made. There are not features of practically anything we buy that suit us 100% perfectly. You may not use every feature available on your cell phone or appliance, but do you not buy it based on "I'm not going to pay for something I'm never going to use." There is no perfect person in this world, but I know the opposition isn't going to use that "holier than thou" argument. Fight the battles that need to be fought, not just the ones which only make you think you look good while fighting them.
