On TV in real life, Mayorkas looks like a creepy cartoon character that meme caricatures can't really catch the ookie essence of.
Just as I finished my Mayorkas statement above, the words "space alien" appeared in my dino mind.

Great way to start my day, OUC! +1 to all of them! The last one, Texas lit the fire and some states are responding. I'm noticing the big sanctuary states and cities, who are now starting to whine about the expense and problems and are begging for federal assistance are not responding.

It's important to keep in mind, that the job of the border patrol is not to protect the border. Their job is to follow orders. Same goes for the TSA, the military and every other government bureaucracy. The orders are fed down the pipeline, and the compliant, uninquiring, non-thinking, workers obey their paymasters. I live in Sierra Vista, Arizona... 10 miles from Mexico. I have interacted with the border patrol. Their daily orders are on par with asking a Magic 8 Ball a question... no rhyme, reason or consistency. The border patrol agent's job is not to think, not to discern, discriminate or differentiate. The border patrol agent's job is to follow orders.

A wonderful way to open the day! Sadly, my kid and her hubby are leaving that state very soon, not because of politics, but because of their jobs.
