Snow White that isn’t

Toward the end the author throws out a suggestion that the pause is due to the writer strike. I disagree.
First IIRC that was resolved already. Second let I heard shooting was done, so a strike on writing would have no effect. Third, and the main aspect: Disney is undergoing some level of work damage control.
First they’ve lost hundreds of millions on their recent releases. IIRC a billion but that was a while ago so I may not recall correctly. This one is clearly under the “going to lose a lot more money” banner and the board is getting it (rightly) in the shorts over that.
So my suspicion is that this is how they bury it. Delay it for a year, and never release it. Or they are hoping to delay it in the hopes that we will all forget and get on board by then.
But that isn’t happening. Parents across the political field feel betrayed by Disney, and in a deep way I don’t see them shuffling off in the next year. If anything it would be a bigger loss in a year. Which is why I suspect they are burying it.
Then again there is the third option - waiting out the new old CEO’s contract. IDNR if he got a one or two year deal. If one year they may be trying to keep him from cancelling it. But I doubt that would stop him.

I just read an article saying a major theater corp (AMC?) is about to go under because it can't get enough people to cough up for tickets. They blame it all on streaming services. Maybe it's the woke crap being pumped out by Hollywood more than half the country doesn't want to waste its money on - not to mention the cost of popcorn.
I’m surprised they are keeping the title. Since it’s not even the original story I don’t know why they are even bothering. Why not just call it “Midnight Black and the 7 Big Drag Queens”?
Kind of like if Ford made a new electric sedan but, knowing that market has leaders and it isn’t them but still wanting to sell them, called the new sedan a mustang hoping to draw people in with the name.
