Driving Us Out of Cars – Again (Due To Government Mandated Insurance)

Excerpt:
"“My insurance is with AARP/The Hartford and I drive about 2,500-3,000 miles a year. My 2017 Chevy Sonic has 18,200 miles on the clock. Last year, I paid $1,569 (to insure this car). This year, $2,179.”
The difference between the two figures is $610 – for the same thing, over the course of one year. About a 30 percent uptick, which amounts to several times the worst estimate of how much buying power a dollar has lost over the past year as a result of giving so many tens of billions of them away to Keeeeeeeeeeeeeev and of flooding the economy with so many trillions of them, digitized and otherwise.
So it’s not all the fault of the walking dead that is presented as the “the president.” (Of what? is the appropriate response – as per Snake Plisskin in Escape From New York.)
Actually, it is."

- 4Posted by $ 25n56il4 1 year, 3 months agoI am 86 years old. I drive less than 5,000 miles a year. I have had my license since I was 14 years old and never had even bumped another person's car. I have had one ticket driving 35 in a 30 mile zone. Lately USAA has raised my fees for my insurance every month! I think mandated care insurance is over reach. People who own cars have sense enough to insure them or they are stupid. Mandated gives the insurance companies free reign. Already too this Medicare scam with these people working for the insurance companies and getting people to change their insurance is a scam. They lie and advertise 'Everyone over 65 is getting a raise in their Social Security. BS They have to buy more insurance and let's sit back and watch those premiums rise. nbMark as read | Best of... | Permalink|
- 4Posted by $ 25n56il4 1 year, 3 months agoNot in my lifetime! There is nothing more fun than taking a Sunday drive down to the beach or into the piney woods. Do these dull people not know all this? How boring it would be not to have a car? nbMark as read | Best of... | Permalink|

- 1Posted by $ 25n56il4 1 year, 3 months agoOh goody! Are we going backwards? How about we all get a horse and buggy? My son just bought one of those electric bicycles. He's a disabled veteran. I refuse to ride a tricycle. But I miss my old horse 'Pancho'. I could make room for him in my parking slot instead of my SUV. NMark as read | Best of... | Permalink|
