In a moment of diplomatic coercion that will likely be remembered by Germans for years, the U.S. managed to push Germany into agreeing to the Leopard II tank transfers. The U.S. component of this deal is essentially a nothingburger since the M1 Abrams tanks won’t arrive for another year, and it’s unlikely that Ukraine forces will be able to maintain them on the battlefield. The specialized armor that makes the U.S. Abrams a dangerous tank killer will not be included on the export version that Ukraine receives.

I consider this move a waste of money. They are just giving Russia some expensive targets. This money could be better spent on our infrastructure. I don't believe this is our War! Ukraine belonged to Russia before there was a United States! Kiev was a Jewish homeland before Hitler.

IF they get the tanks, that will be the question. Another excuse to spend-steal more. Military just got a nice raise, OH look, they're spending it in Ukraine.

Things are really looking like Oceania in "1984" where continuous warfare keeps the people whipsawed back and forth and willing to put up with personal deprivations and loss of liberty. I'm no longer amazed when I see people against such warfare suddenly become for it when the potential boogyman is swapped out for another.
