EU goes all-electric. Let the power outages begin!
So they have less than seven years to significantly augment their electric grid or face rolling blackouts. (Not hard to see what's going to happen here.) Not to mention that farming in the EU is effectively hosed as well, as electric vehicles for farming are a complete joke.
EU has literally signed a death warrant for a large portion of their people. If they survive another seven years to begin enforcing this, it will end the EU.

we can hope....
But you'd think enough power blackouts might.
New angle! You'd think stunting food crops would do as much also.
When the masses rise up against them Iāll not lift a finger to save either side.
i am downloading useful videos to USB, the USB goes into a EMP bag with several laptops
they take up less room
5 laptops in EMP protection, solar panels and a small generator also in EMP protection, lots of Deep Cycle Marine Batteries
we are over-due for a massive solar flare also
they also sell a rolls of EMP cloth you can wrap stuff in
they will make sure they are taken care of, at the expense of those they rule over
Edit add: They can build a statue of the all knowing all seeing frowning faced Gretta goddess and sacrifice themselves to it.
We will have to retreat to a former standard of living if Biden does his "reset". Maybe back to the late 1800's. The left has no idea how to reset things, once they are demolished.
Edit add for those interested: For a hot water shower w/o gas or electricity you can use my camping shower solution. Get a stainless steel water type fire extinguisher you can refill and pressurize yourself. Change out the hose for a kitchen sink spray hose and use a bicycle pump to pressurize it. Heat the water on the fire to the temp you like, pour it into the extinguisher 4 or 5 inches from the top (you need an air space), pump it up to about 60psi and you're good to go. Hot shower w/o gas or electric even in the winter. In hot weather just fill it up and leave in the sun for a while.
Oneās bat shit crazy.
People decry accelerationists. As if WE are somehow pushing society towards collapse.
Thatās not true. Weāve just stopped pushing back.
Let it burn and letās find out whoās still standing afterwards.
In the end, whats really important is water, food, and shelter. After that we can still slowly get back to a lifestyle where there is availability of the nice lifestyle that we enjoyed in post ww2 in the USA
(maybe not so quiet if we say it here LOLOL)
Things are different today, but suppose suburban homes found that private cars were, effectively, banned by high taxes and levies, then what? There would be a return of electric carts. The technology is much the same now as then, well maybe control systems could make them automatic and eliminate the deliveryman.
The EU will find that 90% of private liquid fueled passenger cars can be eliminated. But diesel trucks - No. The result will be supply-chain chaos. On top of that, the electricity system when based on wind, will collapse. Industrial, commercial, social and then political collapse.
A lot of scope for sci-fi writers, eg the war in Ukraine will end with WW2 caliber Russian tanks destroying the latest electric US Abrams which will have nowhere to plug in.
Why were the Corporate leaders who funded , participated and ran the concentration camps and used the detained as slave labor , now among the wealthiest in the world?
Abs , He oversaw the āAryanizationā of Jewish owned assets during Nazi Germany, and held directorships in the most important German corporations of the day, including IG Farben.
Hermann Abs was released from facing a war crimes tribunal due to āBritish interventionā. Also consider that the British intervention was based on a recommendation from Robi Mendelssohn, a man who had his multi-generational banking dynasty ended by Hermann Abs.
None of this story seems remotely conceivable, unless we continue to follow the money.
Hermann and the Marshall Plan
Once the British, under the alleged recommendation of Robi Mendelssohn, freed Hermann Abs from Nuremberg prosecution, he was immediately put to work. He became an advisor to the first post-war German Chancellor, Konrad Adenauer. With Germany and most of Europe in a state of complete destruction, US Secretary of State, George C. Marshall presented the concept of rebuilding Europe in order to prevent the free-market capitalist system from breaking down. This became known as the Marshall Plan.
From 1948, the next four years saw $13 billion of economic aid provided to select European nations. The man appointed to oversee the allocation of these funds was Hermann Abs.
With Hermann Abs coordinating the economic rebuild of Germany, Deutsche Bank was reopened in 1957. He joined the managing board of directors, before eventually becoming the bankās chairman. He also served on the board of several other major German corporations, and had a complete overview of the German economy. From such a prestigious position, there was serious money to be made.
Lockheed, Lufthansa and Bernhard
Recall in the ReichsWEF series we outlined the formation of the Bilderberg Group, which was co-founded in the Netherlands by Prince Bernhard. Recall the numerous scandals that plagued Prince Bernhard. During the 1930s, Bernhard was a member of the Nazi Party and he joined the Reiter SS Corps. He then went on to work for IG Farben. Prince Bernard from the House of Orange . Trump had this strange comm ā I hope they now go and take a look at the orangesā
If corrupt money was housed and concealed in New Zealand, it would most certainly explain the relationship Hermann Abs had with Frank Renouf, and why Renouf was nicknamed āThe Bankā. It would also explain why Frank Renouf amassed a fortune from a tiny island that is better known for its disproportionate number of sheep and expeditions to Antarctica, than as a banking and high-finance mecca.
What the Church Committee release possibly shows us, is that Abs was not just rebuilding Germany, he was a key player in the Prussian transition into a network of globalist corporations and banking structures. An invisible enemy must have invisible networks within which to operate.
Loving every minute of it.
Loooong Slurp on the Tasty Beverage.
Mmmmmm the popcornās gooooooood.
I no longer know if they are showing their hands, or they don't realize they've gone Batsh!t Crazy!
Right now the Middle East is producing 27% of the world's oil and Russia is suppling 11%. That is all I need to know. I have RAV4 hybrid and it is an awesome car. 33 miles to the gallon for a full size SUV. I will never buy all gas again.
The only alternate technology that I believe has any hope is H2 ICE.
One doesn't legislate or run a business based on the hypothetical. (Or I guess you do: it's called a Ponzi scheme.) Unless there is a product on the market, there is no real alternative to evaluate.
Then why do they need government handouts to sell the vehicles? Duh, because there is not much demand.
I think people who want them should be able to buy them IF they are profitable enough for the manufacturer - WITHOUT stealing from taxpayers to lower the price.
You mention competition, but on a level playing field EV's natural price point relegates them to the niche product market rather than the mainstream. Even modern ICE vehicles are >$20K more than they have to be due to government mandates for expensive engine monitors and all the fancy gadgets - not to mention the taxes on vehicle manufacturers. Take away both those and the EV subsidies and one immediately sees a $40K gap. Ouch! And then there are the range and size issues.
I totally agree that we should allow the market to have its way. That means taking the government thumb off the scales. All of them.
(PS. I didn't downvote you.)
there will be tech to free us from burring oil, oil has many uses, burring it is not a good use
Fusion
Fission (other fuel sources are possible)
solar in orbit
geothermal (Yellowstone has lots)
all are possible options
for clueless politicians to say "do it now" shows they are clueless and out of touch
my deep cycle marine ones give about 50% back
As to the technology, one has to argue that it is better than the existing and sustainable. EV's fail on both accounts. They aren't cheaper to buy, operate or maintain (try spending >$20K to replace a battery after five years). Their demand for rare-earth minerals such as cobalt can't be sustained for a population of EV's the size of the fleet of ICE vehicles. And the power demands on the electric grid are being strained with just the EV's in service now. That's not to mention that without the generous subsidies to EV manufacturers, EV's wouldn't be selling except as novelties.
