Don’t Believe It

I need to read the study because this article is so full of holes. I like how it says that stricter clean air regulations “in China”. “Smaller than PM2.5”. What?…. I’ve heard similar things said by a high profile EPA director in person several years ago. He said that the worsening air in LA was causing the huge increase in childhood asthma there. I pointed out that the air quality there had vastly improved over the past three decades. “Oh.”

I love science. But it’s a lonely interest these days…

"Follow the Science," they say. To so many it is a religion. Blind faith, with no understanding. China is burning bituminous coal, spewing out unfiltered smoke, SO2 (forms acid rain) and Hg. Here in the US, we have scrubbers on the stacks to the point that acid rain is not produced, and we burn anthracite which is low sulfur. But the USA is the problem. While China pisses all over the Earth. Follow the Science !!!

Bet world leader polluter Xi Jinping is encouraging $ell-Out Quid Pro Quo Joe to ataboy stay on course in a stupid effort to save the entire planet by shutting down all oil drilling and coal burning in the USA.
Can also bet Xi and the entire CCP are laughing their heads off for it being so easy to Green New Spiel shackle their #1 world trade competitor.

Lets Break Down "Follow The Science"
    1) Follow. They don't want us UNDERSTANDING, LEVERAGING, etc?
    2) The Science. Implies there is ONLY one Science (like 1 true god)
    3) Science... A systematic approach to analysis/approaches that are reproducible

So, it's all backwards. It's a Typical Left Wing Catch Phrase.
It means the EXACT OPPOSITE of what it proposes.

    Know The Science!

Which means, to me, that you should know:
    A) What the Science IMPLIES
    B) What the Science LIKELY MISSES
    C) What the Science CLEARLY MISSES (cannot say)
    D) How this applies to you!

For example, "In Mouse Studies" proves JACK SQUAT about "Humans".

And "A Clear Benefit" as a statement to something like MASKS as protection,
when the benefit is WITHIN the margin of error. Then it is useless.

But try explaining Margin of Error to the American Educated Average Adult!

Meanwhile... We have had ICE AGES during times with 200 times the CO2 in the air, that we have today. ALL of the doomsday predictions are failing.

Are we damaging the earth? The resources? the Food (GMO), The fish (Mercury), YES.
Should that STOP? YES. But panic over CO2 does NOTHING to address these real issues.
They are not serious. They are Charlatans! Unfortunately, most people are SHEEP (or frogs who have been being boiled slowly for generations)

(sarc) We have to appreciate the only planet CO2 has a global warming effect upon is earth. Other planets, such as Mars with 95% CO2 in the atmosphere are not warmed or otherwise effected at all. Damn cold there, actually.

You can get a sensor and shield to measure particulates smaller than 2.5 microns now for about $40. I bought one that I have yet to test to look at particulates from my laser engraver. I'll look at that next summer.

In 1993 we were grinding and classifying coal. 97% of particulates were between 3 and 12 micron. 1% particulate above 12 and the rest below 3.

Even though this was a closed system there was leakage. We wore P3 dual cartridge respirators. It was a reverse Racoon look when PPE was removed. Quite a sight. The shop air looked like an ice crystal shower at 15 or 20 below zero F., with the doors on either end fully open. Pull off the gear, light up a smoke. The concentration of coal dust must have been so great as to deprive the oxygen necessary for ignition.

Did you live in the 1960's? Dirty water and dirty air was the rule of the day. You had to stop your breathing to cross the Merrimac or Concord River it stunk so bad, you wanted to throw up in your mouth. The local authorities would issue stay indoors recommendations for the elderly and asthmatics. Issue no swimming orders because of the high bacterial counts in the waters; rivers, lakes and oceans. Young people today have no idea how bad things were 50-60 years ago. But that leaded gas sure smelled sweet while pop was filling the tank :-)

Yes, I remember Lake Ontario in the late '50s and '60s and some of the tributaries feeding it. It was cloudy and there were definitely warnings from time to time to stay out of the water or don't eat the fish. Now it's a pleasure to go and enjoy the "clear blue" water and fish for a whole menu of fish. Although I despise some of the draconian antics of the EPA today, when it first started and stopped chemical companies, like Hooker, from dumping dioxins and other crap into the Niagara River I cheered them on.

One would need a "P" rated full respirator for protection, as all of this "pollution" is associated with oils.
How come the large US and European cities were not part of this "study"?
    Prey upon the ignorant!

The first thing I noticed in the article was the picture of the Chinese woman walking in a clouded Beijing with the caption, "Office buildings in Beijing shrouded by pollution haze. Experts say clean air policies, such as those enacted by China, can reduce the number of stillbirths." Obviously those clean air policies enacted by China are not in Beijing. Of course the CCP can enact any pollution policy they want and broadcast how great they are to the world, but it's the actual implementation that does the trick.

The left holds China up as a great system. Yet the pollution in Bejing looks like our cities did in the 1970's. They also say that WE aren't doing enough for clean air. Meanwhile I can see the skylines in our cities now.

I listened to a brief sampling of NPR on the radio today. They were praising China's Communist government for locking it's people down as an effective response to COVID...but alas, Omicron got in the way of Communist Authority. Oh gee, Communism was thwarted by reality, again!

Why would you listen to a source that has obviously been spewing nothing but statist biased lies for over 40 years?

It's important to watch the enemy. Once in a while I tune in for 5 minutes to hear what they're saying. While other stations are on advertisements. That's about all I can stand. True to form, same bullshit, as always.

I check NPR only by accident when pressing the scan button in the car. Usually I have to press the button quickly before my eyes start to roll and my forehead starts to burn to avoid causing an accident.

Haha! I just went through this about 2 days ago. The 5 CD player broke in my 2007 RAV and had to channel surf. No more Duane Allman tunes (shows my age). NPR came on and I listened to them for the first time in almost 30 years. Hasn't changed. I called it opposition research!

Funny. I have slightly longer tolerance. My car radio buttons are tuned #1 Left, #2 Right, #3 Weather. Sometimes I check Channel 1 because after Channel 2 I predict what they will say. Funny that NPRR (the National People's Republic of Radio) is at the bottom of the dial. The bottom of the barrel.

Consider if you will, an unborn baby is inside the uterus (an incredible place to be). I doubt seriously their dirty air has an iota of influence on that unborn child. He/she is well protected until the time of birth and actually for a while thereafter. i was once told "that newborn baby of yours is healthier than you will ever be again in your life!" By a very prominent obstetrician. NB

All I had to do was look at the "theguardian" in the URL to put it in the same category as MSNBC and the New York Times: full of lies and distortions. And unfortunately, I don't get paid to debunk crap like this.
