Me dino is more used to the rotten punk kind I had to deal with when I worked at a maximum custody prison.
I would say he is closer to a sociopath but I don't have enough info on his life.
I'd rather be in a cell block filled with medium custody murderers than thieves.
BTW. the Alabama maximum security prison I worked had a fourth of death row on one side of a cell block and dangerous people in one-man cells on the other. yet its largest population was medium custody inmates. There were three other cell blocks and 6 dorms mostly for medium custody and a handful of minimum custody, who could check out the back gate to do jobs on the grounds and be trusted not to run away.
A medium custody murderer may be someone who got drunk and accidentally drove into a group of people, punched somebody in a fight who brained himself falling on a rock or became enraged with a wife for just learning she cheated on him.
Second degree murders are not premeditated. Sometimes nice guys make very bad mistakes.
