That shark wind fan became an ace when it bagged it's fifth eagle. Now its a double ace and need three more kills to score a triple. If I recall my history~~achtung!~~one more kill after that would score the Blue Max.
The Democrat Socialist elites are glad Oscar learned his place. Now he won't mind being old HOW to vote in such places as so-called banana republics.
Yes, Rod Serling, we here in an all too real really real zone can imagine what you are imagining all too well.
Frustrated for really real women can always tell when a male with mental problems has used their rest rooms.
Have you folks ever noticed that Candace Owens ALWAYS knows what she is talking about?

Great! I love the Trump pics with the world leaders. Everyone smiling. Now, no one smiles. Probably because Joe shat himself.

Except the car battery / 8 yr thing. That one is wrong, and we shouldn’t wave it around and expose ourselves.

Can you provide more details on the battery one as to actual costs? Between the mining and refining and manufacture of all those parts - and the fact that there is no way to safely dispose of them or recycle them - I can imaging this being more true than false...

It is completely false that batteries can't be recycled. They are already being recycled. I don't necessarily endorse these sites, but the data is correct.

        https://www.ev-battery-recycling.com/
        https://www.ucsusa.org/resources/ev-b...
        https://www.greenorbits.com/can-you-r...
        https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2021/0...

I'll have to do some more study to demonstrate the 8-yr value. The burden of proof really ought to be with the assertion, but I'll get some references. You can just use $ for the battery to prove it isn't 8-yrs of gas.

People shouldn't be compelled to drive EVs or pay for other people's EVs, but EVs are not evil, and everything about EVs is not evil or bad.

I should have been more specific. Not that they "can't" be recycled but that those facilities currently don't exist in the realm of profitability.

https://www.ev-battery-recycling.com/ This one is a forum/initiative - not an existing solution.

https://www.ucsusa.org/resources/ev-b... This is another one which discusses need, but gives no mention of any implementation of such recycling.

          https://www.greenorbits.com/can-you-r...
From the article: "The recycling process is also incredibly energy intensive and quite expensive.
Because of these factors and the high cost of mining lithium, recycling isn’t yet an economical option to handle electric car batteries."

          https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2021/0...
From the article: "While EVs emit less CO2, their batteries are tough to recycle."
"Creating a circular supply chain by recycling the batteries’ raw materials will be vital in reducing their environmental impact."
In its description of the companies, it notes such future looking words/phrases as "aims", "hopes to create", "estimates", etc.

There are no recyclers in my state or any neighboring state. You can drop off your batteries - including EV batteries - at any number of locations. Those batteries then just end up in landfills or specialized disposal sites, however, they never actually make it to any facility which actually recycles the batteries for reclamation/re-use.

I'm not telling someone NOT to get an EV. I just tell them to go in with all information and not to delude themselves as to the "green" nature of these solutions.

I believe the comparison was between the co2 spewed to make the batteries verses the co2 spewed by a gas engine over 8 years,
...but, comparing co2 outputs is, in it self, the Real Conundrum...has no barring on anything except the concept of co2 being harmful in the first place which it is not. It's Plant Food and the Earth handles the management of it very well.

Yes, but one can just look at the battery price and see this makes no sense. 8 years of gasoline at ~20,000 mi/yr and $4 is over $20K. EV batteries cost ~$2-3K. If that much carbon (dioxide I assume) was used to make a battery, they could not be made for the price they are.

I am kind of tired of these arguments. I love all the other stuff, but caution against such pithy statements that are wrong. There is so much that is right, we don't need these. If people want feel all warm about them, or continue in ignorance, go ahead. I will point them out, but will not spend time constructing a defense for an unwilling audience in a technical area I work day as the CTO for a world-class leading technology company.

I should spend the hour constructing a clear explanation for my own guys why 4-pole generators are lighter and cheaper than 2-pole generators, and why DC distribution can be protected and coordinated in some applications.

    OSCAR for the win.
I can’t tell you how many leftists tell me my world view is wrong. But, then when you closely examine their personal lives, they’re walking train wrecks.
Yeah....me sitting on almost a million dollars in paid off assets with no college education, 5 Kids that were never in serious trouble. And only suffering from depression on the rare occasion that something happened like death or sickness in the family. To be sure I have my problems. But, overall I’m doing quite well. According to Maslow’s pyramid I’m crushing it.
So tell me again how I’m “doing it all wrong.” XD.

    All great, OUC!

I hope we get more non-groveling Trump in the future!

      +1 on a non-groveling Trump.
If he gets back in....day one should be known as Clean House day.
And it doesn’t matter what the media says.
They just make up stuff anyway. Might as well give them something real to complain about. Control the narrative.

Yep, a non-groveling "YOU'RE FIRED" house cleaning on day one should be #1 priority. If he learned anything from the first go-around it should be thorough! Screw the fake media and their vapid opinions!

The AOC and Omar silliness. The fact that these idiots have to synthesis injustice is a concept that completely escapes them. I once read the Wikipedia entry for AOC. She is a synthesized puppet bearing no actual achievements . . . One of the Zeroes referred to by Ayn Rand in "The Sum of Zeroes" -- that sum including all of the acolytes that find affinity with the flotsam pretentious puppets.

Yes, we are living in the Twilight Zone.
