- 1Posted by mccannon01 2 years, 4 months agoI believe contract or no contract depends on your chosen service provider, not the phone. Some providers want a contract and others don't. You can purchase phones in a lot of places (like Best Buy or Walmart or from the service provider), but the contract portion depends on the provider. Of course, if you buy the phone on payments through a loan the lending institution will likely require a payback contract or loan agreement. My current provider does not require a service contract, but I did sign an agreement to pay for the phones I purchased from them in the form of monthly payments. I can pay off the phones and drop their service whenever I like.Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink|
