2017 School Shooting Survivor to Newsmax: Time to Arm Teachers If They Wish
I've always believed that the best defense from a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun, dependence on law enforcement response when they may me more than 30 minutes away will only lead to higher body counts.
The shooter entered the Uvalde school through an unlocked door. Had the school had a run of the mill home security system, that door would have set off a warning message to notify staff it should be checked, and could have been locked, preventing the shooter from entering.
There are cheap door blocking mechanisms that take only an instant to activate, and would have prevented the shooter from entering the classroom. There are removable desktops that are bulletproof that might have saved some of the children when he started shooting.
In spite of numerous school shootings over the past several decades, school districts have remained negligent in taking any actions to protect children from these monsters. The school boards would rather scream about how we need to get rid of all the guns than spend a few bucks to protect our children.
What if it is the OFFICER at the school who says "I have ZERO requirement to put my life in danger" and HID behind his car in safety!
People want to compare these guns with the wild west. I'd prefer my chances ANY WEEKEND in the Wild West, ANYWHERE, over the Chicago Area 100:1!

Someone on the LEFT Hates you. Decides to target you. Follows you on Social Media, etc. And discovers these facts.
While you are at in public, where you are EITHER not supposed to carry, or where you can, and OPEN CARRY is NOT allowed...
Brandishing a weapon (threatening someone with it, by showing it), is illegal. They simply have to call the cops. When the cop shows up, they LIE "This guy has a small black gun in his right pocket. He threatened me with it".
COP: What did it look like.... [Not sure, small like a "revolver, etc. etc."]
COP: [to you]: I am going to ask you if you are carrying a weapon. I will need to see it.
If it matches the description this person gave. It becomes a REASONABLE assumption they are telling the truth.
Before you show it to the officer, you EXPLAIN. Officer, they said they've seen the weapon. Ask them if there was ANYTHING UNIQUE that stuck out to them BEFORE I hand over my weapon. It will prove they are lying to you!

Truth be known. Cops are using "Fake CIs" to call in tips, to give cops probably cause to go after "Trouble Makers". Pretty soon. AI Programs will be scanning Social Media. Targets identified. Situations created. Random Tips called in... (Random tip is required because the information would be fruit from the forbidden tree! ILLEGAL SEARCH).
Because of this, I have multiple carry holsters, setups. I wont mention my decals/markings (duh). But if someone claims against me, it will be such a provable lie...

Tip-toeing around just goes against my grain. For seven years as a newspaper reporter, I received phoned threats during the Seventies when there was no way to find out who called. Being told to slant articles to make Reagan look bad for a new employer (actually in 1980 Mississippi!) is why I found another line of work. Painting walls for a construction company actually paid better!
Then for 21 years I was a show of force and at rare times for doing that for really real at a maximum security prison. Then between 2003 and 213, me dino worked off and on as a semi-retired security guard.

While I was working for an agency that had a strict policy against personal firearms, MY policy was to use my firearm, ONLY if approached by the shooter.
I don't know if it would've worked that way, in practice, but I certainly didn't want to be publicly ostracized for putting others in danger, should something go wrong.
The one I recognized had been the subject of a very recent crime story I wrote and he was obviously out on bail.
All I had was a knife, wondering should I use my USMC training when they come to through the door or hope to just hear what they had to say.
Then the one I didn't know began to shake his head, turned around and walked away. The known scumbag followed him, looking frustrated.
Sometimes what you see tells you all you need to know.
Due to a waiting period back then, two weeks later I had a H&K .380 that fit into a pocket.
I've been a concealed carry ever since. Over the years I've bought and sold several guns.
Memory flash! I owned a M1911 .45 when I sold the .380 to a guy who ran an independent fried chicken restaurant.

Give a teacher who teaches CRT and wears the Yoke of the Woke the right to have a gun in a classroom? Wouldn't want my grand-kids in there in the first place.
The elements were that the school is fenced or walled all around with ONE entrance and exit with a guard not letting people in who werent supposed to be there. Cameras liberally located to see whatever is going on. I dont know if they use dual fencing like in prisons or at aleast two separated barricades to entry.
Overall, they have a low rate of school shootings for a reason. For whatever reason we just somehow hope that gun restrictions will take the guns from the crazy and evil people- life doesnt work that way, however. Make it so they CANT get into the schools.
