More serious, though, are some of the comments running below the video and an often comment is why can't the creators of this stuff invent new characters instead of "woking" existing characters? My theory is the original characters (the heroes at least) portrayed the goodness embodied in "Truth, Justice, and the American way", which came from the strength of original American ideology and how it improved over a couple of centuries. To convert America into a socialist/communist dictatorship, an ongoing war to destroy that ideology and all that represented it has to take place. Even destroying fictional American heroes is part of the war.
