Be John Galt, Close Your Door To The Public

Excerpt:
"How about private clubs rather than privately owned “public accommodations” – as all privately owned stores, restaurants, cafes and so on are considered by the law. As well as subject to it? And also to the not-law of “guidelines” enforced under color of law by Gesundheitsfuhrers?

One of the reasons it’s been hard to show one’s face in public accommodations since the country was plunged into Abnormalcy via the weaponization of hypochondria is because their “owners” – an abuse of language – are forced to obey the “executive orders,” “mandates” and other such expressions of actual ownership by threats of fines and loss of government permission to serve the public.

One may not – legally – transact business with the public without permission – even in normal times. It is that evil precedent which set the stage for what has become the New Abnormalcy."

Holy smokes! Last December my wife and I were on a train heading to Boston. We paid the extra bucks for a private room so we didn't have to sit there with masks on for the whole trip (yeah, Amtrak was pretending wearing a mask in coach actually was going to save you from anything, ha). I mentioned to my wife I was wondering if anyone anywhere would start up secret bars and restaurants to avoid all this government shutdown crap like the the speak-easy of the '20s. I guess I'm not alone in my thinking.

Ever since this crap began, we have a small pub on our main street with inside dining and drinking and outside dining and drinking. They've never required masks and they don't 'social distance'. The wait stff wore masks for while but not any more.

Last summer, was in a bar with a buddy in a western state which was supposedly locked down. Walked in the back door, sat down, enjoyed the live music, drank, and enjoyed my stake. All low key, all low profile.

It can be done provided all understand the unwritten rules...
