Without Trust - Control is Becomes the Plan (necessary or not)

Trust is a key to relaxing and letting things move forward to a steady equilibrium. This is a key impediment to leftist/totalitarians.

We all trust in the free market, because we understand it, and the simple, monotonic, optimization it offers every single time.
Progressives, do not trust. Therefore, they feel they must control.

The number of examples and analogies are endless. This seems to be an excellent discussion point, and conversation opener.

"I have a great dog/kids. Take them everywhere. If you lack trust a leash/rules/curfews are necessary. The problem with progressives is they lack trust in people to make their own decisions..."
"Socialism is poorly understood slave rowing ship. Capitalism is sailing, while leveraging understanding and nature"

There is a massive amount of material here to unveil the totalitarians for what they are.

The unfortunate problem with your first (dog) example, is that there ARE a lot of people who are not trustworthy. As a result, an unleashed dog on a local nature trail attacked and nearly killed my neighbor's dog. The unleashed dog's owners quickly got away before my neighbor (who was busy tending to her injured dog) could ID their vehicle.

I presume it's a place without video surveillance. Rare.
How is the injured dog? We have to take ours in for a possible 3rd cancer (jaw) surgery this week.

The dog survived, but numerous surgeries, and as you can imagine, a significant vet bill.

Sorry to hear about your dog's cancer. We have a 'fur-baby' as well. 70 lb mix, primarily golden retriever in appearance, extra large chicken in behavior (he was a rescue, and obviously mistreated by previous owner).
