- 51Posted by jack1776 1 day, 6 hours ago to The Sign in my BackyardAbaco, me and my wife did the Commiefornia exit four years ago. Best move I could have done, never had any real friends in Lincoln, CA but we moved to Idaho and have many new true friends. LOL, I was pulled over in Truckee on the way out with my last load (going too fast with a trailer) and the CHP officer looked in my truck and said, "You moving out, I'm jealous" and let me go with a warning. It might have been the Trump hat also... Oh and the F*&k Biden sticker in the back window. Where did you move to?

- 54Well, I have a mountain practically in my front yard. I guess that makes me smarter than the average valley dweller? I think not.
Honestly, what I have learned over the years is that I am perceived as MUCH more intelligent when I let other people decide how smart I am, instead of me telling them. - 55Posted by JohnRandALL 1 day, 6 hours ago to Liberals I Know...I am on two physician only social media websites. One leans to the right, that is the one I spend most of my time on. On that site, not everyone agrees, but there are reasonable civil debates. The other site, the left sided one, is composed of doctors that fled the other site, when they could no longer tolerate the right wing views. They are totally intolerant of any views different than their own, and viciously attack. Only one doc trying to point out the fallacy of their beliefs remains. He has been accused of being a "troll", and was banned from the site for a week. I too, cannot understand many of the things they say on the left sided site. It is the feeling that their brains are different, that they are not even in touch with reality. As a physician, I know when I sense that, it usually means the patient is psychotic, or at least neurotic, or delusional. The other thing I noticed is regional. Most of the docs on the left site are all from the Northeast, or around Seattle.
- 56Posted by jack1776 1 day, 6 hours ago to What Does It Take To Cut $2 Trillion of Fat, Muscle and Bone From the Federal Budget? When you cut out that much cancerous tissues, you have to take some muscle and bone. The department of education has to go, same as that cancerous toe.

- 58Posted by rhfinle 1 day, 6 hours ago to Obama’s Ukraine Cover UpI hope that, in fifty years, this article doesn't end up under the headline "How World War III Started",
as much as BuyDem is trying to escalate hostilities there, now. - 59Posted by jack1776 1 day, 6 hours ago to What Does It Take To Cut $2 Trillion of Fat, Muscle and Bone From the Federal Budget? That and much more... They would come to work late, talk for an hour and take a long early extended lunch, then leave early. No one made these looters work.
- 60Posted by CTYankee44 1 day, 6 hours ago to What Does It Take To Cut $2 Trillion of Fat, Muscle and Bone From the Federal Budget?First, don't think that muscle & bone are the targets.
The target of the cutting is the 2 trillion of CANCEROUS tissues & the pork fat it has infested. - 61Posted by JohnRandALL 1 day, 6 hours ago to What Does It Take To Cut $2 Trillion of Fat, Muscle and Bone From the Federal Budget?Musk fired 80% of Twitter (X) and they are doing fine. And making federal workers actually go in to the office at least 4 days a week ..... priceless.

- 65Posted by rhfinle 1 day, 6 hours ago to IMF Calls For Economy-Crushing Carbon Restrictions That Dwarf COVID Lockdowns [Banksters Desperate For More Power]Not a clue there, except maybe to try to remove the government and media obfuscation that keeps them hidden. That would mean increasing transparency in government, removing social media censorship, and exposing the mass media for their hypocracies.
- 66Posted by rhfinle 1 day, 6 hours ago to IMF Calls For Economy-Crushing Carbon Restrictions That Dwarf COVID Lockdowns [Banksters Desperate For More Power]That's a very good point. If you have multiple disassociated groups trying to achieve a set of goals, some of which overlap, the overall effect can be a self-stabilizing positive-feedback loop. Each one helps or encourages the others.
- 67Posted by VetteGuy 1 day, 6 hours ago to The Sign in my BackyardEnjoy the view ... I am envious.
I wanted to move to a more rural setting, but ended up in a subdivision closer to the grandkid [at the wife's insistence]. sigh ... - 68Posted by VetteGuy 1 day, 7 hours ago to Liberals I Know...Your comment about 'different brains' strikes a chord with me. My wife and I make similar comments to each other frequently. I 'think like an engineer' which is fortunate, since I was one for over 30 years. My wife does not [college educated stay-at-home mom].
We have two daughters. One thinks like me, and is an aerospace engineer. The other thinks like her, and teaches special ed. Both did well in school, and I would not say one is 'smarter' than the other, but they definitely don't think alike. - 69Posted by VetteGuy 1 day, 7 hours ago to John Galt return addressWell, the guy who named it was a real estate developer, not a farmer or rancher. Seems like another real estate developer has been in the news lately, but the name escapes me ... ;-)
- 70Posted by jack1776 1 day, 10 hours ago to What Does It Take To Cut $2 Trillion of Fat, Muscle and Bone From the Federal Budget? The government workers simply don’t work, the hire contractors to do the work for them; I’d fire them all. Setup their jobs for contacts between the government entity and individuals or other businesses. The federal government no longer employees people because you can’t have one looter hire more looters so they can all loot together. Seriously, I did Server Based computing for the county of Sacramento and they had me publish MS solitaire because “The employees need it to practice mouse dexterity”, I shit you not… I published MS solitaire to 2500 county workers so they can play solitaire on a data system that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars over computers that were turned into thin clients.
Fire all government workers, they don’t work. Go to contract for anything required... - 71Posted by jack1776 1 day, 10 hours ago to What Does It Take To Cut $2 Trillion of Fat, Muscle and Bone From the Federal Budget?I’ve done contracting with both federal and local government entities and I can tell you this rule that last years budget sets the next years budget has to go. Every department, every bureau, everyone is trying to wast this years budget so they get that among and more next year. Departments even grant money to other departments so they can help spend this years budget. The county of Sacramento bought two large industrial line printers, one was a backup, to print welfare checks. They sat in the warehouse because no one had the expertise to install and setup. Later, the county submitted a RFQ for a company to setup and operate these printers for the county, the printers were gifted to the winner of the contract. The printers cost 2 million each, in 2001 dollars…
In the federal government, we couldn't make capital expenditures that exceeded our allotted portion of our yearly budget because we were not allowed to carry funds forward between years. As such, making a large purchase for a Storage Area Network device (would last 5-7 years) is impossible and needed so they would wast money on crap they didn’t need to get rid on the money.
I would immediately suspend all budgets, institute a simple feedback loop giving an incentive for returning unspent funds. This alone would cut a massive amount of wast. - 72And we never even discussed the history of liberty or libertarian thought. Stop making idiotic assumptions what you think other people don't know.
- 73Thank you so much, rero.
- 74You should learn how to deal with people civilly in the first place. If you are not getting what you want here, then go somewhere else. F.O. rather than criticize all the readers and writers out here.
- 75What you need to do is to actually read the essay in which the admin state is defined as part of the Deep State. Stop your commentary. Stop behaving like you are an expert from whom everyone else needs to learn.
