As for the whole sub-prime thing. Yeah, it was bogus. And the banks who BOUGHT up those bad loans were guaranteed to be whole at the end of the life of the loan. And it cost the taxpayers to bail out banks. EVERY TIME.

The setup a vaccine damage court and paid through that, but not for settlements which happen outside the court and are between the two parties. I am 99% confident that the drug company cut the check to keep it out.

I was a rock musician for 10 years and have personal experience with all sorts of drugs, so I can sort of sense it while in a conversation. I was talking to the City Clerk last week about how drugs alter reality and I stopped short, I realized she was on something, she said Adderol helped her, so I acknowledged. My sister was under the care of a psychiatrist (which means she was medicated) and got her son on clonapin at the age of 5. He never learned how to socialize and lived in his car, I could go on and on...

I will not open a business in the US, unless I can know what drugs the employees are on, and the law says that is a privacy issue...but...Americans should have a right to know if high officials are on reality-altering (psychotropic) drugs.

Do you really think it was meant to 'improve' education? Carter was president, when, from about 1976 to 1980? I think the peanut farmer, to enhance Democrat registration of especially black voters, made the federal government, not the state government responsible for the 'education' of the citizens. If the federal government was responsible for Affirmative Action, and Equal Opportunity in Employment, (and I'm not sure of the dates) don't you think the Lefties wanted a central government telling us what to feed the kids?

The goal was indoctrination, not education.

Have you ever seen some of the requirements necessary in teaching the Core Studies? Especially as regards slavery around the world. Kids were taught that the main reason the Roman Empire collapsed was because slavery became so great. Now I studied the collapse of the Roman Empire in college, and certainly slavery was ALWAYS great in the Roman Empire. But nowhere has anyone said in the last two millennia that slavery was THE most important factor in its collapse!!

America is a drug nation.

I'm pretty much in the same boat, and my daughter takes care of that for me, prices and such.

There was one prescription that the Medicare Supplement wouldn't pay for a particular prescription I needed and liked, so I told her, instead of getting something I didn't care for, while we still have some sort of capitalism left in this country, and some choice, to find a supplemental or I think some insurers call it 'Advantage' coverage that does pay for it. And she did.

I am, but the family expert says we still need supplementary coverage to pick up where Medicare is short. To be honest I find the health insurance boondoggle rather confusing so I'm extremely grateful that my wife keeps up with it all - she's a real mama bear when she gets on the phone with some of these people. I expect we will eventually need to hire a consultant to help out - but there's another expense.

Oh, we can keep our insurance so far, but it costs more and more and more.
