AOC And Bernie Want Banks Run By The Post Office!
Hi, everyone! Welcome to the Friday Fun Time Show!
Yes, banks going postal is the topic for today.
Watch An Occasional Cortex team up with--who, her great-grand pop?--no, it's with good ole' Bolshevik Bernie to advise all us little need of guidance deplorables that a socialist converted government-run banking system run by the US Post Office is a good idea.
Me old dino supposes it's a forlorn hope that this scheme would overlook the credit union I've preferred to use for over 30 years.
(That started after I quit a bank that had a fee for anything that was not a fee. Now even my checking account is fee free).
Yes, I'll just have to kiss our freedom to use what we are not told to use goodbye.
Once a wannabe commie government turns socialist, it becomes like The Cookie Monster in a bakery--out to swallow up to control any once a capitalist everything.
So, folks, to make that Venezuelan utopian dream actually work better here--with some kinda applied Yankee ingenuity, I suppose--let's all support the popular vote, open borders, lowering the voting age to 16 (why not 6?) and letting convicted felons all vote. Oh, yeah, me dino almost forgot that full surrender to our new "no government like good government" slogan requires giving up our firearms for our own good.
It's okay! Rest assured that our betters will always be there to take very good care of us. Whee! Get set for a very fun ride. See ya in the bread lines. Yay!

whose address is not at all similar either and--
--whose city?--
--no way looks the same either!
Zip code? What's a freaking zip code? Does that string of numbers mean something?
Repeal the federal reserve act and make the banks earn their profits through production and service instead of giving them the power to create all money in the US and to profit from every dollar they create from
N-O-T-H-I-N-G.
Nothing the banks provide is "free. It is stolen from every person on the planet earth.
Compared to this travesty, AOC and Bernie's ideas on banking are a drop of water in the ocean of bankster looting.
The credit creation must be continued for any chance to avoid collapse, imo. It is the blood of the existing economy.
Government has shown that it can't be trusted to control spending, so another fiduciary entity of some kind without financial interest must be devised to create credit.
I think he didn't publish it because he became aware that there were unintended consequences in his future-time solution in the book. It's still worth reading though.
Dagne had to go from bank to bank getting turned down for money to build the John Galt Line. It wasn't until private capital was brought in that it got built. Unfortunately private capital is even harder to come by that bank of ML dollars. You have to know people or know people who know people.
But as to the post office running a bank, I remember when the post Office sold "Bond" stamps that allowed children (or anyone) to spend a quarter at a time to build up to get a U.S. Savings Bond. I did it with money from my paper route. thought I was big stuff when I got my first bond. Wat way way back in the dark ages.
The PO might actually do a good job with it. Certainly no worse than the current crop of banking dolts. (Just my opinion.)
There have been times when the mail is addressed to a totally different name and/or on a totally different street and/or in a totally different city.
Have to hand it to the Post Officer in spite of all that, though. Yes siree bob!. So far, the mail has never been addressed to a totally different state. Keep up the good work, post office!
2) Break up the banks too big to fail.
3) Separate commercial and investment banks.
4) Reduce regulations on regional banks.
5) Eliminate the Community Reinvestment Act.
6) Add a 40-year Treasury Bond.
Only a demented lefty can think up such a nonsense.
Is this what they are paid for?
