You would think the senator would be glad that the President was suffering a loss. They the loyal opposition, seems to want the President to loose everything.

If they the ones pushing the Green agenda really believe this. They would be wise to not own waterfront property, in fact I will offer to purchase all the waterfront property at an extremely low price of $1.00. Since it will soon be worthless anyway they should be happy to sell. In fact I will up my price to as much as I can raise between myself and any others who believe that the Green movement is BS, for the ENTIRE coastline of the US 1000 ft back from the current shore. If the oceans rise as they predict we will be utterly broke and they will have our monies......I expect if they are fool enough to accept this to get RICH!

If Trump was really worried about it, he would be constructing a sea wall around it to protect his property. I see no such activity, so why worry?

Of course, Florida will be under water in 12 years. When the sky falls, it's 2+2 that we will all drown.
That's why we must let socialists destroy our revived economy to make bad weather go away.
Mommy, may I have another lollipop?

Whoa-ho! Threats! Who does Senator Ma(la)rkey think he is? Ernst Stavro Blofeld?

But of course Senator Ma(la)rkey introduced the Green New Deal Resolution in the Senate. And we all know what happened to that.

He is just another innumerate who hears some number like the sea level is rising a 3 or 4 millimeters per year which are 0.3 to 0.4 meter which are about 12 to 15 inches in a century. I doubt that Trump's property could even come close to being flooded by that. Any flooding would come from storms and not from sea level rise.
Innumeracy is the inability to work with numbers, even just arithmetic when presented with some physical situation other than maybe balancing a checkbook, though I know some who cannot even do that.

They hate him! That is going to destroy them. I don't think it will take ten years either. I wouldn't bet on Mar-a-Lagoon! They weren't right about getting Hilarious elected.

“Soon” is a very over used and abused word.

If oneis talking on the geological time scale soon in in the 100,000's of years. the term is totally subjective. That's is why it is used so frequently. Each listener has his/her own definition of soon and applies it to the comment. Thus it makes quasi-sense to each listener.

Got it. Soon the universe will collapse in on itself.

Actually, I've read that astronomers now believe that the universe is not "closed" (with the Big Bang followed by the Big Crunch). More likely is that the universe will continue to expand forever. Ultimately, there is "thermodynamic death." ALL processes in the universe are driven by energy flowing from a high temperature to a lower temperature. That's the way cars and trucks run ("Otto" or "Diesel" cycles), that's the way electrical power plants work (nuclear and coal plants use a steam, or "Rankine" cycle), and even biological systems (like us) move and take action because our biochemistry is driven by something called the "Krebs" cycle. Ultimately, when all temperatures equilibrate, there will be no driving potential to make everything work. Fortunately for us, this will not happen for something like 70 billion years from now. Yes, not 7, but 70 billion years, or 5 times the current age of the universe. So, I'm not going to worry about it - too much!
