I am so sure this sends a great message to our children. Think independently and you will be punished! My teachers mostly were WWII vets and this crap wouldn't have lasted five minutes. We need to hire more veterans as school teachers. All these liberal snowflakes are ruining our children.

This stuff isn't really new, you know! Years ago, my husband (20 year military man) threatened to 'deal' with a coach who slapped my Junior High son in the face. It took four coaches to get my hero out of the building. The Superintendent called me and said my husband was banned from the school property. I told him 'in your dreams, buddy!' Guess what? No ban!

Schools are now set to create liberal zombies that do not, can not think for themselves. From 1st grade on.
My oldest grand daughter is in law school (Neme of school withheld) an never ever mentions politics, religion or economics. She is conservative, but doesn't dare speak in that fashion for fear of receiving a failing grade! Just exactly what does that portend for the future?
One potential door she has is she was invited to be a summer intern for a sitting Federal Judge who has a conservative record. That might give her some cover to talk.
