The Unprofitably Incompetent, by Robert Gore
“Your means, my ends; I wish, you fulfill,” is the foundational fantasy of modern governance. The favored groups shelter in their safe spaces—government and its rackets, crony corporations, academia, the media, and Hollywood—living on the delusion that there will always be someone who will produce, without question or protest, for their benefit. Upon that foundation they’ve constructed a phantasmagorical edifice of illusory constructs and passages to nowhere.
As the foundational fantasy totters, the fantasies it supports become more fantastical. The profit pool exhausted, you would think everything possible would be done to succor the profitably competent who are supposed to replenish it. Instead, that illustrious group is demonized at every turn, and the demands on them become ever more absurd. They are guilty because they’re productive, and must expiate their guilt by producing for the unproductive, whose incompetence makes them morally superior.

I agree with your assessment. Most workers would not view themselves as capitalist due to a lack of education and - of course - misappropriated definitions from Marx. Interestingly, all of us who accept and promote capitalism understand that an individual who enables his superiors to profit, profits in turn. That is the point lost to all those reparations seekers who lack the self esteem to be truly effectual. Worse yet, they are encouraged to remain lacking so others can skim off the profits for the sake of perpetuating poverty through wealth redistribution.
Is that bernie sanders swinging that hammer?
If we could only get the mass cooperation needed, I'd shut down their electricity, their water, trains/boats.planes, (for their use), building services, telephone, public and governmental internet...all the basics...just pull the plug on DC.
( I take issue only with one phrase near the end of the article "The biggest crime hasn’t been ..." . I think I'd have said the biggest offense instead, but I couldn't have written the rest of your excellent article so eloquently. Please keep on exposing the truth for all to see.)
I enjoy every one of your articles.
"One month into the partial shutdown of the largest safe space, it’s obvious that not only has the sky not fallen, but unsurprisingly, America is doing just fine without those 800,000 furloughed workers that even the government considers nonessential. Which elicits the question: What were they doing when they were on the job?
Answer from a few of them.Published on Sep 20, 2018
Project Veritas has released the next in a series of undercover reports which unmask the Deep State. This report features a Government Accountability Office (GAO) employee and self-proclaimed Communist actively engaged in potentially illegal political activity. Natarajan Subramanian is a government auditor for the GAO and a member of the Metro DC Democratic Socialists of America (Metro DC DSA).
Metro DC DSA is a socialist group that works to advance progressive issues in the Metropolitan DC area. Subramanian's political activism may directly violate federal statutes as well as the "Yellow Book" rules which apply specifically to government auditors.

Among those were military in uniform, specifically our Coast Guard. They continued to patrol and work without pay. They also provided protection and rescued ships and boats on our inland and coastal waters for free. It might be nice if they were privatized, but I don't see any military organization becoming privatized anytime soon. In the meantime, these people must continue to live, eat, patrol and rescue without pay. Because of the furlough, Coast Guard personnel received food bank and pay loan assistance while they remained at their posts.
Again, I agree our government is too big and needs to shrink a lot, but in the meantime, those already in place and actively patrolling our waters are not non-essential.
#1 "It's time to stop funding the abusers, time to stop excusing them with "they mean well, but...", time to reject their claims of moral superiority---"
Me dino's reactive thought at this point~
Yeah, these mean well vampires possess the moral authority of blood-sucking parasites.who burrow themselves into this nation's collective conscience like so many noxious ticks.
#2 "But woe to the slaves who utter anything the tyrannical cult deems offensive or incorrect. Transgressors are put through social media hell, ostracized, ruined, and coming soon, incarcerated."
Me dino's reactive thought at this point~
Maybe for not being persistent enough, me dino failed at finding a video I first saw in The Gulch during King Barry's reign of terror of a JFK descendant Kennedy saying either global warming deniers or climate change deniers should be put in jail. It does not strike me dino as impossible that our government's (in)justice system (think Mueller) could devolve to such a horrid point.
Haven't done it in a long while, but me dino used to crack jokes here about some of us being hauled off to communist-styled "reeducation camps." Maybe that's not funny at all.
There are a lot of great people on GG, but you are one of those whom I have enjoyed the most.
I think people's rights are more widely respected today than in any time in human history. The ideas in the first part about how anyone can freely buy stuff, add value, sell the result, and keep the profit, without regard to their family background or physical attributes, is more widely understood and accepted than ever.
Just look at the examples: toxic masculinity and safe spaces. There are definite issues. If this were the past, the issues might be a talking about a decree from the religious leader telling slaves to obey their masters and masters to obey the king. The problems today are efforts, mostly misguided, to respect one another's rights. But that in itself is amazing.
