Could conscience be an instrument not just of morality, but of happiness? Is it possible to regard yourself as evil and at the same time be happy? That question almost answers itself, but many people have a harder time with the idea that one has to regard one’s self as good to be happy. Such regard may be self-delusion, but even that delusion suggests the necessity of moral self-approval, no matter how misplaced, to maintain at least a chimera of self-respect.

It’s time for the federal government to radically shrink and return power to the states. Probably not going to happen peacefully though
Why do something, you know very well, will get you in trouble, if only to be hounded by your own conscience.
The road to redemption, happiness and joy:
There is a constant fight for control between your pleasure seeking automatic brain and your conscious mind.
The only path to happiness and the joys of value creation come from your mind through your conscience.
But it is also important to remember, when you make a mistake, big or small, a conscious man should know, that If this journey, the journey of right, of self control, of wisdom and the creation of values resulting in earned happiness and joy, was to be so damn easy, there would have been no reason for the concept of Forgiveness.
It must be earned as well.
