While it is fun to play 'what if?' it rarely leads to logical useful conclusions. A good mathematician will tell you if there are more than two 'ifs' in an equation the results are useless. Each if injects an increasing proportional error variable. Start with a 'what if' base point and it is almost hopeless to come to a realistic conclusion.
The noted economist Dr. Thomas Sole was a confirmed Marxist until he went to work for the government and realized that when the work he had done proved the minimum wage law reduced the economic output and was not the cause of increased wages he was ostracized by his coworkers for jeopardizing their jobs.
