I was just thinking of the golden quote about Guam the other day.
Nothing came of it at the time. The guy was ridiculed but his supporters managed to bury the incident in fog.
As for Occasional Cortex (borrowing from Nick) she escalated the left's agenda by openly admitting on CNN that the left is not interested in the truth. "Morals" are more important.

Obama's other malaprop about keeping your doctor, I think he really believed it based on smoke blown up his posterior by insurance companies that loved the idea of government forcing every citizen to buy their offerings. When the SCOTUS yanked the props out from the mandate, the whole Obamacare fantasy collapsed, along with all the promises of lower cost, keeping your plan, etc.
