Anger Mismanagement, by Robert Gore at Straight Line Logic

Its chart looks good—building a base for decades, lately bursting through the top of its range. The ascent has been steep, pullbacks minor, and it looks like it’s gathering steam for a long run.

Anger is lifting off in what market technicians would call the first impulsive wave of a new bull market. That’s the technicians’ way of saying this is just the beginning. Punctuated by brief remissions, there are many more and much larger waves to come before this trend is exhausted.

This is an excerpt. For the complete article please click the above link.

The last, desperate gasp for the deep state is hurricane Florence, which they're praying will be Trump's Katrina moment. Expect to see saturation video journalism and hysteric bleating about every collapsed building, treating the aftermath as the "worst disaster to hit America."

The flaw in this thinking is that the players in the Carolinas are not the incompetents that led Louisiana and New Orleans. The Louisiana governor refused FEMA aid until it was too late, and the mayor of the Big Easy did almost nothing to prepare the city for the Katrina impact.

DHS and FEMA have prepositioned massive rescue and recovery resources in preparation for Florence, and state and municipal leadership have been aggressive in evacuating their citizens from areas in danger. Utility companies' repair crews from across the country have also been aggressive in sending fleets to the area, prepared to restore power and water services as rapidly as humanly possible. National Guard units are on standby to provide assistance where needed. Florence will not be another Katrina, but you can bet Democrats will be ready to blow any problem out of all proportion in hope of damaging Republican turnout this election cycle.

My redneck friends wouldn't think of going anywhere without a chainsaw in the pickup truck. Maybe a shotgun, too. You never know when some sort of agricultural implements might come in handy.

We are ready for whatever comes along. My redneck former Democrat neighbors are now avid Trump supporters.

    Nicely written, SLL!

Here's a thought that flashed through my brain as I was reading your article: Why haven't multiculturalists like Merkel set up programs to migrate Germans to Damascus in order to "diversify" Syria?

It will be interesting when the point is reached in Paris when one can be beaten for having a glass of French wine during lunch at an outdoor cafe. Oh wait... I think there are already areas like that in Paris. I guess "multiculturalism" doesn't include French culture even in France.

Like the constant warnings of a stock market crash, month by month, contrasts the suggestion of Trump bringing back the gold standard, with central banks wanting 10K per ounce and America with the most gold permeates those same newsletter warnings.

What's an angry citizen to do?

Manage our own anger and prepare for either scenario...is my bet.

Thanks Robert, didn't know our frustrations, anger and disappointments factored into the stock market trends...either way, there is enough anger in the world to last a long time...

Excellent essay again! Now if Robert Prechter can predict when Anger Management will influence the Markets downturn, I and others would love to know so I could cash out.
