The Return of Aristotle to the Philosophy of Science

It seems that at least some sanity may be returning to the world of science. This article cites a new book "Neo-Aristotelian Perspectives on Contemporary Science " (very expensive, $140) which is devoted to presenting refutations of Hume etc. and the negative influences in the sciences. Well written, even though it doesn't contain a single reference to the only (that I know of) viable defender of Aristotle in the 20th century, ... what was her name? ... :-)

Little dino recalls becoming impressed by Aristotle when I was first taught about him in elementary school.
Too bad I knew zip about Ayn Rand until the AS DVDs came out.
Me dino earned my bachelor of science degree during the 70s.
Ayn Rand was never part of any subject. But of course. I never had heard of her.
I did take Philosophy 101 which was just a basic logic course.

Another book of interest is "Lost in the Math". Very interesting view of physics and how the idea of "beautiful" i.e flowing logic and mathematics has gotten in the way of progress. I highly recommend it.
