Who is your favorite Gulch resident?
This has probably been asked elsewhere, but who is your favorite Gulch resident, and why?
For me, I've given this a lot of thought. I used to say Hank Rearden, but my issue with him is that through most of the book, he simultaneously seems too passive in his personal life, but shows very little in terms of personality. So I made a change after reading the book.
I'm going to go with Ragnar Danneksjold. Because unlike the other strikers, he's a man of action. His methods may be unconventional and illegal, but instead of sitting around and giving long speeches about producers vs. looters, he goes out and DOES something about it. He's not satisfied JUST to leave the outside world to collapse, he's going to drain them not only of the minds, but of the fruits of those minds. Not to mention, many of the strikers would be financially destitute without their "accounts" in Mulligan Bank.
