This is a sad statement on what our government has done over the past 50+ years. The Democrat party's so-called "War on Poverty" has done nothing but nearly bankrupting this once-fine country. Rather than seeing this as a lost-cause, politicians on both sides have doubled-down numerous times over those years and we have more giveaways now than ever before. We cannot sustain this and remain a country with a semi-credible currency... I know that some will say it is not credible already, but it is still the world currency for transactions. For now. The Chinese Renminbi may soon replace the US Dollar in that regard.
