No, local news is reporting she lived in San Diego and was pissed off that YouTube was taking down her obnoxious-looking videos dancing with water buffalo and grinding up smoothies in a headscarf. She was trying to make a living off the clicks & advertising. Militant vegan, etc.

She had a handgun and apparently went to a shooting range 30 miles away the morning of the shooting (to learn how to use it apparently), then went and with poor marksmanship shot a person in the foot, etc., before killing herself.

Her father, trying to not call his daughter a likely mass shooter, called the police "concerned that she was very upset and not sure what she might do against YouTube".

Muslim anti-American stuff too on the videos. Another one that "slipped through the cracks".

The feminist left should be happy....even females can be terrorist idiots...not that's equality for ya!

Not to make light of such tragedies but in the name of fairness we have people among us who might have been sane a few minutes ago and insane the next. It is human nature and there is absolutely nothing we will ever be able to do to stop this stuff.
This time it was a gun but it could have been a car, truck, plane, knife, bomb or hammer with similar results.
All of this recent BS about gun control and all I really want to know is how do we stop those who have snapped and are intent on killing???

The truth is more grotesque than fiction, and points to an ever more dangerous social media environment. The shooter was furious with YouTube for "demonetizing" her videos (stripping them of advertising) because they were too violent and bloody. She knew none of the people she shot at. She just wanted to get back at the company, and gain the ultimate sensation (post-mortem) and fame for her acts.

Social media elements are like drugs, with persons deeply involved being addicted and dependent on the attention of others. This incident is a warning that more violence is the inevitable outcome of some of these interactions. The target might be another person, a company, or simply a fantasy goal of much attention upon the attacker's death.

In these situations, the MSM can't help itself, giving entirely too much attention to the killer, and encouraging the next mentally disturbed individual to find a way to stage an even bigger violent event as a claim to fame.

There are times when I'd like to get out the old Taurus Magnum and shoot away. The deliberate self ignorance of those who know the answer but refuse to apply it to the problem.But then, the sensible part of the little gray cells takes over and target practice becomes the order of the day.
