Ya, a sweet tooth, too. Only joking. My curiosity is usually piqued by how a comment jibes with a topic. Some seem VERY, lets say unusual. Then I read the article, and am enlightened. :-)
Ok, why is it so difficult to find someone in politics who is willing to stand up to the ignorant looters, to not back off when it's said they are a proponent of Objectivism, and respect what Ayn Rand says on the subject? The media machine immediately buries any person or comment made in reference to them, or the persons character is called into question..
it is threatening to them-the media very few who have been on the HIll very long don't care about the power. Ron and Rand Paul are exceptions. Here, Paul's views on just about everything are spot on conservative, except Big military. and he draws in conservative youth across the country. could we please put big military on the table. Please?? no, we have to have Romney, ho hum extraordinaire because Paul isn't electable? conservatives scream the loudest over military and drugs and marginalize the rest of what Paul would actually try to accomplish.. talk show hosts talked about him with contempt almost and praise Paul Ryan like he was some God brought down to save us. He carried a copy of AS in one hand and voted for the cliff tax hikes with his other hand. I say it's not only the left- it all of us on the right who did not demand better
it's like they created this image of what they wanted and once done, can't seem to make themselves jive that with his voting record. hmmm, who does that remind us of?-hey, my comment above needs editing, but I'm not changing it significantly
He eloquently talked about his admiration for the book on the campaign trail. I was already disgusted with him for some other votes. Ex: voted FOR Sarbanes Oxley, a regulatory behemoth that has all but killed venture capital in this country. 2. Voted FOR the America Invents Act which allows the Treasury to continue siphoning fees from the Patent and Trademark Office(the ONLY govt agency that pays for itself), and changed the the intent of the Constitution over protections of inventors now to "first to file". who do you think will win that game? a small inventor or a big company? If you look at all his votes and how his budget plan did nothing drastic at ALL, you'd see he is a career politician, and LO! BEHOLD! he went from mowing lawns to the state house. He has worked in govt his entire adult life.
