Addressing the "permalink" issue
We're looking to address the "permalink" issue - where a comment thread goes so deep, no further comments can be posted.
Currently, a limit is set on how deep a comment thread can go before replying is disabled. We do this in an attempt to ensure that members can read all of the comments regardless of their screen resolution.
To allow a conversation to continue beyond the set threshold, one possible solution would be, when a reply is submitted at the lowest level, to automatically start a new comment thread at the root level and auto-insert a link back to the original comment (e.g. "continued from...").
Thoughts?

1. New indent margins: replies are indented less in order to free up space for a deeper thread (max level is now 15).
2. Root Replies: once comments reach the maximum depth, replies are automatically added to the root with a link back to the parent comment.
Play around with it and let us know what you think.
Thanks!
I used it here. the question is, will that part of the conversation die? that's always been my beef
