Reminds me of Toohey's quote in "The Fountainhead".... " Don't allow men to be happy. Happiness is self-contained and self-sufficient. Happy men have no time and no use for you. Happy men are free men. So kill their joy in living. Take away from them whatever is dear or important to them. Never let them have what they want. Make them feel that the mere fact of a personal desire is evil. Bring them to a state where saying ‘I want’ is no longer a natural right, but a shameful admission. Altruism is of great help in this. Unhappy men will come to you. They'll need you. They'll come for consolation, for support, for escape. Nature allows no vacuum. Empty man's soul—and the space is yours to fill."

Times change. To those who think every white today is racist because they are white, and that they owe all their production to non-whites because black were once slaves, Jingle Bells can be racist - must be racist because every white is racist.

Follow the money. Is this a fund raising effort for the college by making white alumni feel even more guilty?
That makes at least as much sense as Jingle Bells being racist in 2017.

Some topics being repeated by the media (and posted to the Gulch) are nothing but divisive spam and do not deserve the bandwidth being wasted on them.

If the tale be true...there is a BIG difference between what a playwright did, in a time long ago, in a meme long forgotten and not worth remembering...

We still value the song, it doesn't represent progressive racism....but the researcher and antagonist sure is making sure that it does.

She has be weighed and measured, by this reader, and found unwanted...

Profound Commentary...altruism is truly Self sacrifice, (a very unhappy one at that)...a sacrifice, 'Not' one cell in your body would attempt without a duplicate replacement...so why, would the community of cells we call you, do that which your own body, your own cells... would not.
