Atlas Shrugged clothing still creates reactions

With the cold weather here I have been wearing my Atlas Shrugged sweatshirt and hoodie recently. I am surprised how many people still react to it. Many of my customers already know I am an Ayn Rand fan. It still seems that new people come up to me each time I wear it and ask about the book and the movies. They always seem relieved to find another AS fan.

I told a friend about AS and he said he saw a bumper sticker "Who is John Galt? And was curious enough to find out , he was in AS . He tried the book on CD and couldn't finish it. Oh well.
His wife is super altruistic and the book was highlighting her cognitive dissonance I suspect.

I dont have a lot of patience for american women these days. They seem to be controlled by the leftist emotions, which I find very unflattering. Once I find out a person has voted for Hillary, I dispense with contact with them if at all possible.

Most, if not all women are controlled by emotions. It's just a fact that liberals make more use of emotions, than logic, which makes their worldview that much more attractive to women than men.
Thank goodness that their are still many American women who chose not to take the bait.

I sure hope there are logically thinking women out there- they make up like 50% of the population and we are doomed if they are all liberals....
One almost thinks that humans have instincts like other animals, and its our choice to use our minds and control our actions rationally, or just be like other animals and go by instinct (emotion?).

I recently purchased a hoodie, with the Starbucks "Guns and Coffee" logo on the front (many of you have seen this one). I then wore it to a meeting with our liberal Commissioner of Public Lands (I like to test fate, now and again).

Surprisingly...she actually gave me the "thumbs up" sign, when I was half expecting to be told to take it off or turn it inside out (which I would have refused to do).

Maybe I should try an AS logo shirt, next time...

Well, I "got" it the first time, but there's so much in it, I read it at least six times and always found something new. When people quake, though, at the size of the book (not saying that's what happened with your friend - just adding this as a comment) you already know they aren't going to "get" it. Attention span is too short.

Did you see that Columbia Sportswear put out Star Wars coats this week? They were copied from the ones worn on the Hoth ice planet in Empire Strikes Back. At $400 each they sold out in a few hours and are now on Ebay for $900 and higher.

    Hooray for the free market!

I was talking to a friend of mine who said sometimes toys get bought out online and then resold on e-bay for multiple times the retail. He said the government should stop that. Gave us a chance to discuss the free market. I think he at least listened to what i said.

My "Taggart Transcontinental" and "Enjoy Capitalism" T-shirts are lots of fun to wear. I've had lots of positive reactions from the Taggart shirt, and lots of negative reactions over the Capitalism shirt.

Years of leftist brain washing in schools against Capitalism. Hope we can change that.

We have become a world of take care of me's.
They "have" to regulate the large industries and utilities because they are so big that competition is too hard or "impossible".
People constantly forget that if any industry turns foul from poor leadership or greed; THEY are the ones who can create an opportunity for themselves.
For some reason they don't want just anybody deciding to start their own water company serving their neighbors, so they call it a utility and regulate it. They see something that is difficult, label it impossible and then pass laws that make it illegal to try to compete. Finally to the companies that provide the service they both protect them and strangle them.
It is a cruel cycle of thought and action that makes the general public believe that they can do nothing for themselves and need to be taken care of by people who could not make it in the real world and decide to run for office instead.

Capitilism is freedom to succeed. Too many people think they cannot because they never have been shown the tools to think for themselves.
