The producers of the movie have said that it's fully funded and that the Kickstart campaign is to allow people to become involved - like the "spend time with backers" you mentioned - you didn't say it would be on the set of the movie. (had to look it up) That sounds like you're getting something for your money, at least.
I'm curious as to why this would be such a bad thing - I mean, it's $250,000. Is it the campaign or the book/movie itself you're so angry about?
