The Primacy of Existence
Just when you thought it was safe to assert that existence exists...
It's hard to imagine, but more and more people today see facts as being flexible, shifting based on our thoughts, fears, and feelings. Don't believe it? Just turn on the news tonight.
It's was high time someone set them straight!
Enjoy this lecture by Dr. David Kelley on the "Primacy of existence." Even though this recording is over 20 years old, it could not be more relevant today.

I also did not get what he says at 33:20. I thought he says you can logically derive conflicting propositions if you start from primacy of consciousness. That would mean the axioms are conflicting and therefore invalid. But he says this is not a refutation of primacy of consciousness because we're assuming primacy of existence in that argument. I don't see that. In my mind, I'm only assuming logic is valid to say that if we can derive conflicting propositions from a set of axioms, doing that refutes (shows they're invalid/contradictory) the set of axioms.
I really enjoy this lecture so far!
