"How Conservative Media Lost to the MSM and Failed the Rank and File"

This article demonstrates how the conversation has stopped for both sides. Politics has now become about digging it and rah-rahing whoever shares your side's label, regardless of the actual content of their words.
Friedersdorf is completely wrong. He is among those in the media who cherry pick excerpts from the competition to support an opposing point of view or who exaggerate and broad brush the left or the right using select commentators as examples, but I can tell you for example, that on Fox Business I heard Charlie Gasparino call the election for Obama on Monday based upon his information from contacts on Wall street. It was a convincing argument and turned out to be bang on.
Fox is demonstrably more fair and balanced than the big 3 networks. (No, I do not have any affiliation with Fox or with any political party.) Fox News presents opposing points of view all the time.
If you followed Fox leading up to the election, you got both interpretations of the poll data every single day. This was not the case for the big 3 or most of the print media. Some, not all, Fox commentators from the right predicted a Romney win, the commentators from the left predicted an Obama win. Both sides explained why they interpreted their data in the ways they did. It was up to viewer to decide.
I try to take time to listen to all the networks to get a feel for what's being said about various issues, but FOX News has become my most trusted source. In my opinion, they bring honor to their profession.
