No, not irony. Copyrighted works go up for bidding once their copyright expires. If no one buys the work, it enters the public domain. Or in other words, if no one values the work, no one purchases its rights. Somehow we don’t think that will happen.

Wednesday 9/4:
“@sarahcq Confession: I like Atlas Shrugged because of the Humanist elements. Ayn Rand and her followers ruin what that book should be about.”

The humanist elements ARE what the book is about. Man is a creature who thinks independently. A free society is the best society because it allows man to think, decide, and live as he likes. That is what Galt’s Gulch represents.

Wednesday 9/4:
“@Comradeloewe418 If you believe in Ayn Rand and objectivism then you can please not use anything government funded? Only then can you preach to me about it”

There is nothing wrong with using a program you have already paid into. The issue is a person being forced into paying into a program. In a free society, such as Galt’s Gulch, a man uses his money to pay for programs he finds valuable, not programs that others tell him he must find valuable.

Thursday 9/5:
“@word_boner If you see a car with a Who is John Galt? bumper sticker you're legally allowed to smash up to 2 windows”

We sell “Who is John Galt?” bumper stickers and we’re aware of no such law. In fact, that type of law seems to be wildly anti-social and the opposite of freedom--using force against people who disagree with you.
