Contradictions do not exist. Whenever you think you are facing a contradiction, check your premises. You will find that one of them is wrong.
    Ayn Rand

When something doesn’t seem to make sense I think of this quote. We are assuming all these revelations will have negative consequences for O; but they don’t seem too. What premise are we fundamentally wrong about? The media? Federal Politicians? There’s something we don’t know and it can’t be good. A government by the people is a romantic idea. Why do I feel nostalgic?

Our congress is made of spineless jellyfish and sycophants. This is the only explanation for the lack of accountability... I think far too many people are cowed into submission out of fear of being called racist if they dare speak against our dear leader...

      That's for sure.

I wonder just how much cowardliness can be attributed to all of the NSA data mining that we are learning about?

I think of J. Edgar Hoover, who held his job until his death solely because he had so many 'files' on politicians, and civil rights leaders. Many historians claim that he was the most powerful civil employee in Washington.

The head of the CIA at the night of Benghazi, David Petraeus, publicly stated that he did not sign off on the final draft of the WH video spin. Next thing we know, e-mails are produced that place Petraeus in a sex scandal...ending his career.

One other Benghazi major player (I can't recall his name, but he was still military) had the same e-mail sex scandal happen.

Can you imagine what the WH could have on the members of Congress?

Absolutely. I think definition 2 of the following link applies to all but a few...

I remember reading after the Venona papers were released that Hoover knew McCarthy was right and was just using him to flush out the communists... McCarthy was a boisterous windbag and the wrong messenger with the right message at the wrong time. Hoover was a real player. A very scary one that liked secrets. There is much power in secrets so long as you have more security than Breitbart. I still think something rotten in Denmark happened to him. Things just don't add up...

So, who is "The White House"? Given that Barack Obama was a second-string local politician in 1996, and given that Hillary Clinton is his mortal enemy, just who do you think is really "the White House"? Joseph Biden, the long-standing man at the center of power?

This explains our pulling support for the Egyptian Generals fighting the Muslim Brotherhood.

The average 'guy on the street' will never hear about this. But our Congress needs to be paying closer attention, now that Egypt is fighting for her life against these terrorists.

Don't be ridiculous. Would you take sides between Hamas and Hezbollah? Leave it alone. Laiseez faire. Stay out of foreign entanglements.

Sounds a little like Ron Paul. I like Ron Paul but we cannot stay out of foreign affairs. We have to have a clear and coherent foreign policy.

Why not? You can have a clear and coherent foreign policy without behaving like the world policeman. Iran could have been a great tourist destination for the US in the eighties as it was in the fifties had we stayed out of their affairs in the seventies. One step forward and two steps back --that is what you can expect when you meddle.

        That's right...I almost forgot.

You are the one that was proud to have voted for Obama, and to support him and his failed foreign policy. Everything that your choice for President has done has turned the Middle East into a "entanglement".

        Now...who is being "ridiculous"?

I just did a quick yahoo search and stopped counting the entries on this title. Got to 20 and it looked like there were 5 or 6 more pages. The biggest media name I saw was the Examiner. a lot of the usual suspects that you know are going to run with any dirt on POTUS. It has promise.

Neil Bush, the brother of President George W. Bush, was a friend of John Hinckley, Sr. They did not like Ronald Reagan.

Then there were Edward "Ted" Kennedy and Robert Kennedy, brothers of President John Kennedy.

You can amuse yourself for hours with Billy Carter, President Jimmy's brother.

On the other hand, Milton Eisenhower was apparently the same staid and plain hard worker that his brother was. I guess that it goes back to the parents as with the Bushes, though we all make our choices, as with the Carters.

President Obama was raised by his mother, an American. Blame her for his outcomes, if you want; but condemning him for the actions of his paternal second cousins is just silly.
