unintended hilarious consequences

freedomforall posted a useful and serious article, and I didn't want to include this hilarity in it.
On the sidebar, there's an ad for roadkilltshirts.com, and today's sale is buy 3, get 6 free. [!!] A basic shirt is $20. Some examples, you ask?

Good things happen to those who wait.
"wait" is crossed out, and
go out and earn them
is written in.

Teach your kids about taxes -
eat 30% of their ice cream.

I'm not very good with advice -
Could I interest you with a sarcastic comment?

When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This was not what I expected.

They have many politically correct shirts [according to our definition] as well.

We all have to wear t-shirts, and sometimes my Atlas ones are in the wash.
Enjoy!

I can see another way to apply one of those ideas above.
Best to do this tasty ice cream stunt after a young child has done something to earn it.

First talk about federal income taxes, then take really big chunky 1/3 bite of the ice cream.
Then talk about the state income tax and take another 10% chunk of what remains.
Then talk about that state taxing things that are bought, which you represent by another 10% chomp of what remains.
Then tell the kid that since he is self employed they promise to give you back some ice cream if you don't die first, and then take a good whooping 20% chomp of what remains.
Don't bother with things like capital gains which are pre-taxed before you are taxed, or many of the other taxes, just hold it the ice cream for a while while you say how complicated the tax code is and how much time it takes to fill out all the forms.

Now let the kid enjoy his remaining melted ice cream.

This basic lesson of real life could be taught in public schools. Contact your PTAs.

Only problem with your suggestion is that I might die from the cold headache that eating all that ice-cream that fast would cause.

Now you're placing yourself into the 1% millionaire class; start at the worker-bee level and get a small one scoop cone!

Yeah, and to really teach them a good lesson, let half of what you take melt and trow it away as government waste. For the second lesson (of course they have to buy the ice cream with their own money), when they try to adjust to your taxation and get a second scoop, you invite a kid that your child really hates and give him half of the tax just as your kid receives the cone, and then another lick or two (as sales tax) of the remainder.

Just heard that the first quarter revisions are in and GDP CONTRACTED by 2.9%. That's the worst since 1958. It will take three consecutive 2.5% growth quarters just to get us back to 0 annual growth.

Anyone who says that the economy is picking up is an ostrich with their head stuck in the sand. Until MAJOR changes are made to the way our government is collecting and spending money, our economy will only do worse until it collapses entirely - AS-style.

What you can do: VOTE. Then tell all your friends about the effects of liberal policies. Then tell them to turn off MSNBC, CNN, etc. and go take a basic college economics class.

What you can do? Guns. Ammo. Gold. Silver. Food. Water. Energy.

And get ready to shoot those who didn't prepare when they come to take your food.

Funny post. Nice to have something sweet in the morning to go along with all the bitter. The younger generation is always looking for someone to blame since they figure they haven't been around long enough to have caused the problems. Humor could help them define who to blame.
