Who is Dagny Taggart?
Beautiful, tenacious, and fearless, Dagny Taggart has inspired women and men alike for over 50 years.
As Atlas Shrugged Part 3 heads to production, some major decisions still lay ahead. For the past several months, we've read all over the web everything from "Taylor was PERFECT!" to "Samantha IS Dagny!" to "You should have case [INSERT NAME HERE]!"
Now it's time for you to tell us directly. Who is Dagny Taggart?
Taylor from Part 1? Samantha from Part 2? If you had to pick someone else, who would it be? Beyond her ability to embody the character of Dagny Taggart, what else should be considered when casting Dagny? Should she already be an advocate of Ayn Rand's ideas? Should she have at least read Atlas?

If Taylor, for some reason, is not available, find a lookalike in her 30s/40s. A professional actress does not need a Gulch background or perspective. Heck, a professional actress could play Chewbacca and carry any scene off! Even a lib like Brabra Streisand could play Dagny convincingly, as she did in "Nuts", and could play the Taylor version of Dagny after coming out of makeup! Movies are all about perception. We want to love the CHARACTERS, not the actors! With negotiations, possibilities may include the likes of Julianne Hough and Jessica Chastain.

'Tash is his daughter and she is no movie fox.
Yet Sex sells and that's why I contribute so little to your Vision.
Wishing you well, as you interpret the Novel of America.
I've always favored actress Louise Lombard, who starred in Hidago and as a detective for a few seasons on CSI.

She's a good physical match, and a solid performer with a hint of steel in her personality.
Ironically, I thought of her for the role back when I imagined Atlas would be a period piece... She would be a solid choice to wrap the series.
And while on the subject of casting, can we have Grant Bowler again as Hank please.
Coming to think of it, why don't you get the entire cast from part one again!
Thanks
Oh sorry, wrong character ;)
If, however, I could pick anyone? Jessica Chastain. She was born to play such a role. She has the right amount of beauty, brains and wisdom the role demands.
