I broke the rules and didn't introduce myself right away. I'm a self-employed producer in the American Southwest. The line that led me here can be traced back to reading The Fountainhead, followed by Atlas Shrugged and Anthem. I'm still working my way through We The Living; it's a bit of a tougher read.

Given the sideshow that passes for debate on the rest of the Internet, I wasn't sure what I would find here. I must say I'm very much impressed by the civility and sense of camaraderie, even among those who disagree with one another. I think I'm going to like it here.
