Walt Disney World and Atlas Shrugged

I did an hour radio show today about Walt Disney which I think you guys will enjoy. As I've said before, Disney is the real life kind of person that Ayn Rand wrote about in Atlas Shrugged. Disney the man, the parks, and what the company stands for regarding capitalism mean a lot to me.
I have an interview with Annette, where she tells how Walt nurtured her career and kept her on the payroll after the Mickey Mouse Club disbanded (the original show only ran for 3 years, and they would recycle the shows). Annette says that Walt was her second "Dad", and always monitored her contracts. He convinced her to record songs on the Buena Vista label, and Tall Paul was a big success.
When Annette was signed on for the first Beach movie (not Buena Vista), Walt went along, as long as Annette never showed her navel button!
She did...and that may have been the shock that did him in.
A great, and loving, man. He was a child in spirit, and passed just that way....
I will visit your numerous links next...!
