This is messed up. It's just like Floyd Ferris' conversation with Rearden about how one can't control a nation a law abiding citizens, so the government passes impossible laws to make everyone a lawbreaker because criminals can be controlled. At least people speak up about this sort of injustice. The moment no one does is when we're all really screwed.

Even before I read the article, I was thinking "with all of the stupid, blatantly unconstitutional laws being passed by the rabidly demented government today, I'll bet I've broken at least one -- and I haven't left the house once today." After reading the article, I guess I've probably committed at least three of them... ;-)

How ridiculous, pathetic, laughable, etc.

I wish I could remember who wrote that when the laws become so numerous and complex that the common man can no longer understand them, the law becomes useless.

I'm sure I broke the law today just making coffee. There has to be a place on this planet for people like me to live who aren't afraid of taking personal responsibility for their own lives and who just want to be free from this chaos insanity governments and the majority of the people seem to prefer.
