While the authenticity of the book remains unverified, it is interesting to speculate about the possible theological implications that such a record would have if it turned out to be genuine.

From my own look at available research...creative writing classes were just as popular then as they are now. In fact, some of the New Testament was written three hundred years after Christ. Around the same time, it was very popular to follow the Greek tradition of taking a story and retelling it in written form as many ways possible. A creative writing class with a specific theme --you could say. Some historians believe that is how the original stories of Jesus started in the first place. But, we pretty much know Muhammed’s part came centuries after these books were written, so the likelihood of a creative writing assignment that led to the inclusion of a character, Muhammed is probably nil.

I doubt very seriously if this book is authentic if it has Jesus prophesying the coming of Muhammed.
Regardless, It’s absolutely disgusting that I’m not allowed to comment honestly and openly about Muhammed’s role in history without fear of some nut job coming after me.

So you think it's likely that the book could be called "ancient fan fiction"? That's an interesting possibility, and probably very likely as well.

Yes, and no. It depends on the age of the book. I think the book is fake because it links Jesus followers to the later Muhammed stories. Chronologically that is not possible. It is true that tribal early christians rejected the idea of Jesus being the Son of God because they considered the idea of divinity taking human form as sacrilegious. Jesus being the Son of God was heresy to this branch of early christians. God the spirit just wouldn’t reduce himself to human form. These same christians could possibly be ancestors of those who developed the Islamic religion. That theory compliments they don’t reject Jesus as a teacher, but they draw the line on believing him to being divine.
Could Mohammed followers have written this so -call bible book as fan-fiction or to develop a story line? That would make more sense, and the only way I could believe it is an authentic historical document. It all depends on the carbon dating evidence. If they say it was written at the time of Jesus, I would suspect fraud.

"Hopefully, this news inspires the religious to ask questions, instead of pointing fingers or believing anything blindly."
A few outside the church will be open minded enough, even some who share of their free will here, but this is not likely from those in positions of power in the church, nor from the hundreds of millions who just follow orders.
