Clinton Can’t Explain to Small Business Owner Why Obamacare Raised Her Healthcare by $500 a Month

The answer is really quite simple. HillBillary is either unable or unwilling to state that "there's no such thing as a free lunch." I did that in 10 seconds. After four minutes and thirty-five seconds, she was still grappling for a coherent thought.

    The premium for the cheapest medical insurance for just me and my husband as of 1-1-16 is over $1800 a month, and that is AFTER-TAX dollars. Thank goodness I found a loophole that says that if I buy my insurance through a large group plan, it is still deductible. And thank goodness I am a member of my professional society, which has a group plan. Otherwise, I would be spending about $4500 a month of my salary on health insurance alone, and I do not have the legal right to say NO.
    Yes, our founding fathers revolted over much less.

    Obamacare was never meant to actually serve the needs of the people. It was created to legally force insurers out of business and give the government a path to enslaving doctors.

        I'm starting to laugh about this stuff, too. I, for some reason, am starting to think that open insults from guys like Gruber are so brazen, directed to a population of complete morons that it's funny. This might be me turning to the dark side. It might be my own defense mechanism. We've got things like the former Pres going to pedipleasure island and nobody cares. What we are seeing here and now is epic. And, nobody can stop it. The wheels are flying off the cart and I guess all you can really do is look for an escape route and laugh...

          Sometimes I feel moved to do dark side humor here.
          When new in the gulch, I used to go there as "old dino's evil twin,"
          Lately when in the mood, I don't bother to give a warning.
          Gulcher's are pretty good at catching on to my devil's advocate act.

          I actually read though much of the first draft of that bill. I am the only person, other than one coworker of mine, that I know of who did that. That first draft actually had things like direct IRS access to draft from your bank account, etc. - REALLY scary stuff. I realized later it was probably a bargaining tactic: Write something truly barbaric to soften up the opposition so that he could pass something like what we've got. Frankly...I admire the genius.

      Agreed about the paper bag. But she also can't explain the unexplainable, no matter how hard she tries. The key is what others in this thread have already said, and said well: per numerous examples and quotes in Atlas, to paraphrase: "it was never expected to work, or more accurately, it was planned to fail". At which point, the planners claim "it would have worked, except for the greedy, private competitors still left. We need the power to get rid of them." I have no doubt that Hillary knows this, and knows enough never to let on to what she knows.

    ObamaCare was not designed or intended to work properly...they want people demanding changes to a total care system...aka....Bernie Sander's socialism...

    ...and they are succeeding...there are no calls to rescind ObamaCare, Medicare, or Medicaid...more govt control is the Expectation...Entitlement...

    In the last century..I made a career of the military. One of the enticements was medical for life at no extra charge. First came the annual fee annual family fee. Now I have taken $100 from social security and if I don't agree they cut off my military pension. Add in some extras like Delta Dental I'm still better off than most people under ObarfoCare.

    The moneynow totaling about $2400 a year is a form of bribery or black mail or mordida that is taken in to keep from being fined out of existence. The fee shows I have insurance Tricare CHAMPUS..

    The system is so good I cancelled Delta Dental and the accessory crap. moved south of the border where Tricare is no good. have a just in case air medevac policy with DAN the diver network. and do just fine paying all my own medical bills out of pocket for less than deductible and co pay and all the other crap my medical for life was supposed to cover.

    I intend to take that jet flight one day in the future walk into the nearest hospital give them my retirement ID Card and other I.D. and explain how to dun the deductible. None of this out of hospital stuff I want a bed with all the trimmings ....ha ha ha ....I don't rate VA thank God and Greyhound I'm retired I make too much.

    Treat your veterans and military despicably they learn to despise you.

    Lesson for current active duty military...

    As for Doctors....We have some of those escapees right here south of the border. One started in Irkutsk Siberia got out after the wall came down gained US citizenship and certification but finally moved to Mexico when the US started reminding him of the Soviet Union. He's not the only one.

    Obama and his people intentionally created an unworkable healthcare system. The government will have to step in to 'save' the system with single payer. That was their plan all along, it'll just take time to destroy the old system.

    My family's situation is even more extreme than this lady asking the question. Our premium went from roughly $500 the year before OC to $1400 per month 2 yrs after (and the deductible rose)
    It is infuriating and clearly HC is either clueless or unwilling to admit the real reason (which is that we're now paying for others directly through our premiums) - more welfare.

    So, if she expects the medical profession to justify raising rates for themselves, are they going to make every other business justify why they are raising their rates? I'd like to know why my power bill keeps going up, as well as my cell phone bill. Oh that's right.. The federal government makes them tack on all of those extra fees that don't pertain to me needing power or cell phone service,
